I've been there. I was a white/clear ball (more oval shaped) of spinning (very fast) threads of energy. I saw out from the middle. I was in a place that looked like a dark room. I changed into the ball about 3 times. Between those I was a more human form. As the ball, I was very powerful and healed some of a physical injury on my body.

I was in an oak forest and I came to an opening in the forest.
The sunbeams came from the treetops down to me.
It was very beutiful but I had to lay down and close my eyes.
Then I saw this undescribable pattern with bright colors that
I never had seen before. The colors were different from any colors that I had seen.

I felt that I had contact with an entity.
I tried to understand what the colors and patterns represented,
but then the spirit said to me:

I am trying to show you something that you have never seen before
and you are destroying it.

So I relaxed, just flowed with it and experienced the colors.
I just knew in some way that this felt just like dying, and this made
me uneasy.
So after a while I opened my eyes and looked at the forest again.
I didn't have any hallucinations but everything felt different.
I felt like I had died and had been reborn in the same body.

Then I closed my eyes and saw the patterns and colors again.
After a while I tried to understand it again. But I began to feal
weak, confused and like I was dying. I hadn't eaten
anything that day, which was a mistake. When I opened my eyes
I was very confused and ran around in the forest for a while.
I needed more energy, so I ate some cookies. Unfortunally, this almost ended
the effects of ayahuasca for this time.

It seemed like the information on this plane could not be understood, but only experienced.
It also seems like you need some spirit guide to visit this plane.
I don't know for sure if this was the mental plane. How can you know
for sure if it's really that plane? Anyway, the mental plane is
just a name, you can call it other things.

What objects were in the rooms that you visited?

On my second ayahuasca experience, I noticed that the patterns seemed to be affected by my thoughts. I didn't think any complicated thoughts at the time, but it was like I saw my own thoughts.
I don't think all the patterns were created by my thoughts though.

The day before my first ayahuasca experience,
I prepared myself and read about the mental plane. One of my intention with the experience was to try to project to the mental plane. But I'm not really sure, eventhough my experience of it was similar to other people's experiences of it that I've read. But nothing could have prepared me for all those strange colors.

It could have been the upper astral plane, like you said. I'll have to ask the spirit next time if it's really the mental plane. Is there any other way of finding out?

My understanding of the Mental plane thus far is that it is beyond the astral.  The astral has preformed astral objects in it that have a earthy look and feel to them.  The Mental plane (again I could be wrong here) is much more illusionary.  It is much, much easier to form objects with the mind on this level and there tend not to be as many preformed objects.  It is the area of Grand Illusion and mental disipline is paramount here.  Also, I find that more time is packed in...as if things are even more compressed than the 'percieved' flow of time in the astral.

Yea, I have also experienced that guides don't always answer. Things that seem abstract to us, like the mental plane, are often natural to them. So it's sometimes hard to get answers on complicated questions.
I read the text about the seven rays, but it didn't make sense to me.

I agree that it's very difficult to understand what's happening on the mental plane. You talked about vibration, but how do we really know that the mental plane is on a higher vibration than the astral plane? I mean no one has measured the frequencies. And what kind of vibration do you mean? Do you mean electromagnetic vibration? And what is it that vibrates?

What little I am able to bring back from the mental plane, (if it is indeed that) is that this is the place where ideas initiate.  It is far less concrete than the astral. You can still make things in the astral with your mind but not with the same ease as on the mental plane.  

What was in the 'room'?  Sometimes nothing...sometimes a white throne...sometimes a table...sometimes other beings (minds).  Sorry it is so scetchy.  But if one thinks it's hard to remember what happens in the astral it gets harder and harder as you climb in vibration up the astral and beyond it grows increasingly difficult to bring back things with clarity or full understand of what was experienced.

I have also fealt that some places are higher up spiritually than others, like the one I described. But does that mean that it's on a higher frequency? How do we know that if no one has measured? And what kind of frequency are we talking about? Electromagnetic?

Most of the meanings of the colors are same as the chakra colors, but not all like pink and yellow. I think I know what you mean when you say they got to be in balance.

Think of the colours as aspects that need to be worked with and balanced.

Red = Will and Passion (passion for life - joy in its most positive aspect)
Pink = Unconditional Love and Wisdom
Orange = Drive (fortitude to accomplish the tasks we need to accomplish in life)
Yellow = Intellect (very important to balance intellect with emotion)
Green = Harmony, healing, reconciliation, forgiveness of self and others
Blue = Philosophy and Active Knowledge
Purple = Spiritual Idealism

All these aspects need to be brought together in harmony.

This time I was determined to find out if the information on the mental plane is really impossible to understand and if so why.
It was a sunny day and I felt like this was unique opportunity to trip, since I felt that something would occur next week that would
ruin my chances of  tripping then. I had learned from my mistakes I made during the other trips, so I ate a steady breakfast and
I listened to my inner voice, which told me that  this was a good day to trip. I went to the same oak forest
as the other trips.

The effects came almost too fast this time, so I sat down in the grass to gather some strength. When I closed my eyes
I reached that other dimension and saw the same type of colors as before. The sunbeams hit me and I felt that I got Prana energy from the
sun that helped me reach this higher dimension. I felt telepathic contact with the same entity as before. I didn't see its body and it seemed
like the entity had no body or any other material form.

I asked this spirit if this is the mental plane. I didn't get any clear answer on this, but I understood that is another higher dimension.
I tried one more time to understand the information up there, but I couldn't. I wondered and telepathicely asked the spirit why
it is impossible for me to understand this.

Then I felt like I was thrown out of time and space.  My mind didn't  exist  in the present time anymore and it was scary and very
intensive. I have experienced timelessness and transcendence before but this was not the same. It was like was wrongly adjusted
to time. Then I understood why the information on this higher dimension that we may call the mental plane is impossible to understand.
After I got that revelation I came down a bit from this extremely intense state of mind. My conclusion is this:

The reason why it is impossible to understand the information on this dimension that we may call the mental plane is that the information is
about time. You have to be adjusted to time in a certain way to be able to live this life and be able to live in the present. If you are adjusted
in that way, you can not understand this information about time.

I didn't get mad after trying to understand this information, but after every mental projection I get confused and I find it hard to stay in the present
I think about the future a lot and it's like I'm not really in the present for a while. I also got confused for a while during this trip, but then a girl
I know sent me an message on the phone and wondered how I was doing. After that I got very euphoric and I felt that I have got a
new strength from this trip. The rest of the trip was very euphoric and I just enjoyed the forest, the nice weather and all the patterns in the clouds.
I also had time to ask some more questions to the spirits.

I think that the natural drugs mescaline and ayahusca are most effective when communicating with the spirit world. In a lot of ways,
they are more effective than even LSD. I don't know for sure if this was the mental plane, but it was definitely another dimension.
How can you know for sure if it's really that plane? Anyway, the mental plane is just a name, you can call it other things.

I think that it is possible that I projected to the mental plane under two ayahuasca-experiences. Has anyone else here maybe been to the mental plane? I'd like to hear what you experienced, and I can describe my experience more if anyone is interested.
