immediate physical manifestations of spells?

with enough skill and ability, i believe that nearly anything can be done. the hard part is getting that skill and ability.

Just thought I'd raise this point to anyone else who wonders the same thing. Do you think there are shamans/magi who can produce immediate physical results from a spell? for example heat, light, elementals? I say this because this is often one of the "romantic" aspects of the occult that many people look for when starting out on the path. I believe that someone of enough training and discipline can do this. I remember reading a story once about a preist in Italy who accompanied an occultist whom he persuaded to call up a "demon". The occultist cast circles for protection and then proceeded to call up a number of demons. He then did this a second time but couldnt control them and he had trouble getting out alive.

There are many more stories such as this available from reputable sources. But I would like to know is do any of you believe this, or maybe you've experienced it?
