Seeing through another's eyes?

I had an incident a few years back while I was talking around town with two other people. As we were waiting for the crosswalk signal to change, I got a view with a perspective that was behind us by a couple of blocks, on the sidewalk that we had just walked on. The height I was looking from was a bit taller than I was, I believe, and it was moving towards us. It was rather odd, as I seem to remember the view being wider than it should have been, but I can't be sure that that part wasn't a false memory. It lasted for a few seconds, but less than 5 more than likely.

Can anyone give me some information about what they suspect this to be? I'm curious to find out/

Another thing also happened a few weeks back, where I had seen my (very bright) television turned on in my dark room. My eyes were closed, and when I opened them I realized that it wasn't night because it was still light outside. It think that I had hit an episode of SP while I napped then, but I can't remember because the thing threw me for a loop and I didn't remember it for sure.

Not being sure of this possible episode of SP is odd in itself because I remember when I have SP, there's not the idea that I -may- have had it, it has happened for sure. This confusion could have come around if I had been dragged back into sleep instead of deciding to let myself be dragged back to sleep.

Anyways, there ends my ramblings, let me know what you make of them.

Hi!

I believe the phenomenon you describe would likely fall in the category of "remote vision". Under that definition you would not be looking through another person's eyes but with you own clairvoyant sense, meaning with an expanded awareness or extra sensory perception (ESP).

I have heard this phenomenon described by many people and I am sure you will get responses in this forum that will reflect that.

Thanks for you reply, I'll read up on ESP and clairvoyency. It didn't seem to be triggered by myself, but could have been triggered by some events leading up to it and the general feeling that the group of us were getting, which may have caused it to spontaneously happen. It's only happened that one time, purely out of the blue like that, so it'd be interesting to see if I can force it/train it to reoccur by will.

Clarvoyency and remote viewing don't sound like it. I'm not sure what it would be called, so if anyone has any more suggestions or possibly a link to a page that has a similar incident on it, it would be appreciated greatly. Google isn't very helpful when you don't know the term for something.

This sounds kinda like a Remote Eye Projection. Robert Bruce mentions it in Astral Dynamics.

Actually I would have to disagree with the concept of this being any sort of projection. This would fall under the category of telepathy, because the term includes images from another person's mind as well as thoughts, even if the image is in real time as you experienced. Telepathy falls under the sense of clairvoyance/clairsentience, so yes clairvoyance research may help you.

Yes it is possible to see through someone else's eyes.  I believe it is termed transference of consciousness by some people, others call it seeing through another's eyes.  In any case, you seem to have tapped into this ability, even if you did it accidentally

Sorry about not clarifying this, I hadn't been looking through someone else's eyes, the view made it seem as though I was. The height, speed, and where the view was from made it look as though it should've been from a normal (if slightly above my) eye line. I should have worded my description so that it was easier to understand, rather than making it easier to visualize.

There was nobody walking down the street towards us when it ended, I would've remembered while checking to see what the hell it was that had caused it.
