Hi michael,

I moved your topic out of obe discussions as it seems better suited to our general metaphysics forum. If you disagree, please pm me and we'll work something out.

For my part, I haven't heard about "old" verses "new" clairvoyance and the effects of alcohol. If you come across who wrote on this, and where, please post the information. Thanks. [:)]

In the past, I have noticed that alcohol has not hindered my psychic experience, and in some cases even seemed to help it.

That alcohol is a key to psychic experience is a dangerous assumption to make though, IMO.  I will theorize that it does work because of it's inhibition releasing effect, which can give a short term boost to chakra energy processing.

Making a habit of it is doubtless a bad idea, and a poor substitute for proper energy development.   Rather, I would (and have) take it as a glimpse into what is possible anyway with proper 'training'.

I read somewhere( could have been Rudolf Steiner or Douglas Baker) that, if one drinks quite a lot of alcohol, wine specifically if i remember correctly, that one gets rid of the "old" clairvoyance in order to develop the "proper" clairvoyant abilities.
Now i would havethought that , taking alot of drink would lead to being mostly unconscious..(and in order to test this hypothesis scientifically you understand. I have been paetaking of the grape quite a lot...:-)))..and mush to my amazement have noticed an unexpected increase in utterly fantastic lucid dreams..extremely logical events taking place too..which sort of was unexpected..maybe a case of the old clairvoyance being "shed" as ( I drink and) sleep??an folks got any views on this..seriously???
