Thanks for the great topic! I dont think you created clutter, that other post on Electrokinesis is pretty bad. I was really intrigued by your topic. First of all, I do believe it is possible to have Electrokinesis. Humans are basically batteries, and have a small electrical charge. Some humans are born with mutations that cause them to have abnormal charges, and you are probably one of them. I actually have ADHD as well. I have about a 14 second attention span for most things. But when I got into mediation and OBEs, my problems went away. I have a much better attention span now! Anyhow, back to your problem: I really havent heard of many precedents for your situation, and I cant think of what to reccomend. I wish I could be more helpful, but I cant.
Best wishes, Shadowatcher

Hey that better not be my electrokinesis thread your saying was bad!!! GRRRR >:|
I was once able to control my electrokinesis but now its much like yours just happening at pretty random times to random electronics. But usually it happens to me when a coincidence or something odd/strange occurs. I've kind of regained control over it... i practise on the train i try turning the lights out but i can only make them go dimmer.
All i can suggest is that you practise in your lucid dreams and that you meditate and practise turning on and off lights in real life.
Thanks, guys ... :) My family has suggested looking into studies, but I don't know where to start. There don't seem to be any, even searching the internet.
[:(]
Hey
Yeah I can't find anything on Electrokinesis either. But I did find something on technokinesis which is what i've got... (ability to manipulate electrical devices). It said that you have to set your brain to the right frequency or wavelength. I dont really believe in energy generated EK.
Hmmmm ... maybe I'll look up technokinesis, since it could easily describe me, too.
After youve learned how to harness and use your latent powers, why dont you right a guide on it. I think there are many others (who arent on these forums0 who probly have the same problem.
Cynic, skeptic, doubting Thomas... that's me!
However, I have reached a point of desperation. Imagine if the sound engineer in Trying2BeHuman's post was self employed and trying to run his own business... That's me. Equipment breakdowns and quirky behaviour abound!
I WANT A WORKAROUND.
As a teenager I experimented and had many psychokinetic and telekinetic adventures, but eventually I got scared at what I couldn't understand and refused to participate or even acknowledge what I had done. During that period and in the interim, one constant is the good old street lights. If I go out, especially driving, at least one street light will turn off and always to the left hand side of the car and always at the same distance from the car. I'm now forty two years old and this has been happening for a l o n g time. Interspersed with this, the recurring dreams of going from room to room trying to find a light switch that works... desperately moving through the gloom, weighed down heavily by the darkness.
I don't want to be dramatic and go into my many breakdown details, but my wife jokes that if a light bulb is to "blow" it will be when I go near it, or give it the kiss of death by having the audacity to switch it on. In our small house we replace 3-4 bulbs a week – all with my helpful "input" and it has been no different in newer/older/bigger/smaller houses. I'M SICK OF IT! It has happened hundreds and hundreds of times but it still scares the hell out of me when the occasional one decided to shatter for good effect.
It has been noticed that if I have a last minute, urgent, rush job then you can guarantee that something will give. Last week it was while I took a coffee break in the early hours of the morning and the machine that I needed in order to finish the job just "blew up"... yes, smoke and everything – ruined the coffee break! The machine wasn't even doing anything at the time – other than thinking about making life difficult for me!
Surrounded by technology and a disproportionate maintenance schedule, I either need to fix the problem or go and work somewhere away from any electrical supply... difficult given my chosen vocation. A more liberal minded friend suggested that my problem resulted from "suppressed psychic energy" which only prompted me suppressing my rampant cynicism!
I don't want to augment my telepathic/kinetic/psychowhatever abilities or to enhance the "gift"... I just want it to go away or at least do something to lessen the occurrences. I also don't want it to become an obsession! Ordinary would be nice!
Any help or references for further research would be hugely appreciated.
Hi I am new to this site and I am pretty dam sure that I am an actual technokinetic. I was struck by lightning when I was 5 years of age, and now since then I have had weird even violent experiances with electricity and electrical equipment. After I got hit I died for 5 minutes. I'm not jokeing, I have a death certificate, anyway now on to my experiances. The first incident was when I was 7, I had just finished watching a violent movie and it made me have a violent dream and about half way through the dream it got so violent that I jolted up out of my sleep and every light bulp in my room totally lit up and then they all blew up. They completely shattered and the next morning my parents thought that I had broken all the bulbs. Anyway this same incedint has happened a total of 5 times in my life so far. Thats not even the jist of it, I have had tons of other expiriences with this but one thing I know I can control is I have a skull lamp that generates electricity and I can actualy make bolts go through the glass and come into my fingers. Anyway I would have never found this site if my friend had never of told me that what I had was technokinesis. This is not even close to how many incedints I have had, I have had somewhere in the hundreds and I'm only 16!
Anyway I was wondering if you guys could help me out here and tell some form of meditation or something so that I can control this. O I almost forgot that I can also feel electricity ie:feel it when someone turns any electric thing on, and I feel weird when electricity hits me.
Please someone help me out here I want to control this amasing GIFT!!!
Hi, I was hoping for some insights about EK. It's been something I've been dealing with for awhile, and I'd love to learn more about (and so would my family). For awhile, I kept a log of my EK incidents per some relatives' suggestions, but unfortunately, it was lost. So, I'll try and enumerate some of the incidents that stand out, from small to larger, as best I can. I tend to go on, so if you get bored, feel free to skim... lol.
First, as a preface, along with some pre-cognition and various other oddness, my life has been absolutely plagued with psi incidents... Apparently, the women in my family have always had some psi abilities.
As of the last few years, the EK has been the most problematic (along with something that someone told me was Recurrent Spontaneous Psychokinesis). So much so, that just the other night, my mom said to me, "You know, if you were alive in the 1600s, they would've burned you at the stake." (Ironically, I live only about 15 minutes from Salem.) And I'm not just talking about the common claim of, "I walk/drive below a street light and it goes out." This problem causes everything from minor annoyances to much larger issues.
Remember when you were little and you shuffled around the carpet in socks so that you could shock your friends? I gathered so much energy by doing this, that I would touch a lamp and it would actually light up for a few seconds. My family loves to tell that story. Also, I've always had a strange fear of lightening, which garnered much lighthearted teasing when I was younger.
I think I first became cognizant of a problem about three years ago, when I first entered an extremely stressful phase of my life. First, all the clocks around me--my alarm clock, the clock in my car, even the clock on my stereo in my office--began to reset themselves a few times a week. I also started experiencing major computer problems at home and work. At the time, I was working at a small record label which had an in-house recording studio attached. First, my computer started crashing on a regular basis, and my boss kept calling in the computer company we contracted with to repair it. Eventually, it started getting so bad that my boss gave me his computer and got a new one for himself. I'd had his old computer less than a day when it crashed as well--after being problem-free the entire time it had been in his possession. Then some of the peripheral equipment started failing too. The repair men couldn't figure out what was going on, and it became almost a joke.
Then, the company's sound engineer started noticing that the recording equipment in his studio would act up when I was in there. The computer would crash, the amps would re-set, the mic would stop working. Once, he was showing me a brand-new clip-on light that he'd just purchased, and as soon as I got near it, it went out and never worked again. Another time, I walked into the building and the lights went out for a few seconds; when they came back on, everyone looked at me because by then, they were starting to connect it to me.
Then there was the time that I went to a business-related workshop, where a presentation was being done on a lap-top. I entered in the middle, and within minutes of me sitting down, the lap-top stopped working and the panel had to go on without use of the computer.
Probably the worst EK-related incident is something I'm only now connecting to me... and, who knows? Maybe it's not connected at all. For awhile, my best friend and I were roommates. Around the time that these weird things started happening to me, she and I were also in conflict and my home life had gotten strained. One evening, we had an electrical fire that forced us out of our apartment and caused the entire building to be evacuated for months. No one could figure out what had caused the fire, except that somehow, it had begun inside the wall of my roommate's bedroom, and eventually, a halogen parking light outside (mounted on the exterior of the wall) had exploded. Nothing of mine was damaged by the fire, but all of my roommate's things were destroyed. If this was because of me, it certainly wasn't on purpose!
Some months later, my friend and I ended our friendship and moved into our own places. I started have major car problems--alternators failed, my brake line snapped (while I was driving!) rendering me brake-less, and even my steering belt snapped (also, while I was driving, though not in the same incident). Some of this I relate more to the RSPK, which has a history of its own separate from the EK. Anyway, eventually, my car died altogether and my mom gave me hers.
As soon as I took her car over, the air-conditioning stopped working, the power windows started to have occasional problems and something in the transmission was breaking-down. I've since moved home and it's broken down again, and has been repaired by reputable mechanics (my step-dad is in the auto business, and he and his friends have worked with these guys many times). Everytime someone other than me--family, mechanics, etc.--takes it for a test-run, it works beautifully--but when I get behind the wheel, it stalls. After it was repaired last time, the mechanics said it was driving perfectly and they'd tested it over and over and under all conditions. My step-dad took it out for a long drive and said it was running like new, so I reclaimed it and within a couple of hours, it stalled on me and left me stranded somewhere. The mechanics were baffled and couldn't find anything wrong, though they said it had to be electrical. The car is now in my driveway, awaiting a tow to an electrical specialist.
So, I've been driving my mom's car, but this is causing problems, as well. Once, as I sat waiting for her, the wipers went on by themselves and couldn't be turned off. Another time, the passenger-side power window froze just as my family was teasing me and calling me "Electrogirl." Today, I was frustrated at finding no decent songs on the radio, and when I looked back at the digital display, it was dead--no clock, no station settings, nothing. Either I blew a fuse or just died. It's gotten to where my mom has become nervous about letting me use her car.
And there are the small things, too. Batteries drain too quickly when they're in things that I use (portable CD-players, palm-pilots, mp3-players, etc.). When I'm shopping, items and credit cards don't scan if I've been holding them. I get shocks from plastic. My sound machine--I like white-noise to sleep--stops working when I'm frustrated or upset. (In fact, just the other day I went to turn it on and it was dead; I tried various different outlets to no avail--and then my step-dad took it and instantly got it to work.) Within a week of getting a new cell phone, the digital display died and I had to bring the brand-new phone in for repair. The list goes on...
My mom has always claimed that she's had bad luck with electronics--and now she's wondering if it might have started with my birth. It all sounds so nuts that I often want to chalk it up to coincidence... but could really that be it? How could someone be born with such an effect on electric? And if there's something I can do to make this a positive thing, then how?
I should mention that I have ADHD, so any sort of training involving meditation and a need for intense focus is nearly impossible. However, I know that there are times when I am able to naturally find that state when hovering in between sleep and wakefulness ... though being cognizant of that brief window is difficult. It happened once, and I unwittingly controlled my air-conditioner by mumbling the words, "I'm freezing." The a/c promptly switched off, much to my delight. But I'm yet to purposely enter that state ...
Sorry for rambling... but thanks for getting this far, if you did. :)
EDIT: Sorry, I posted this before seeing the other EK thread ... didn't mean to create clutter. (I frequent a message forum where that's a no-no ... lol.)
umm hello i am new to this site i found it on google read a bit about what you guys said and i was interested ()pARTICULLARY ELECTROKINESIS) and i would really like it if one of tried to hep me learn i just learned of it so it might take awhile...
I had this happening all the time in my early teens - I couldn't take a cell phone in my hand, because it would go out of power in a matter of seconds, and all the computers I sat to crashed without any reason.
It stopped some two years ago, though.
wow what an amazing thread! thank you all for sharing your experiences. unfortunately i cont really help you because i dont have experiences in this area. for all of you i would suggest that you meditate and during meditation you can try to blow a lightbulb ro something like that consciously with intent. while doing this try to observe all your thoughts and especially feelings. maybe you can make out a feeling that goes hand in hand with electrokinetic activity. then you can try to control the feeling hence controling your ability.
i know that this is harder to accomplish than it sounds and maybe it will take you years but as i said i dont have experience in this area and cant help you more that that.

please share how you gained control over it and what you do to induce electrokinesis.
Quote from: Trying2BeHumanI also started experiencing major computer problems at home and work
this makes me think of a similar problem many people encounter: the more you are in a hurry or enraged or stressed the more propable it is that a computer will crash...
The closest thing that I've ever had to EK is every time i get near a radio it will either
1 - Start staticking like crazy
or
2 - Come in crystal clear...

this reminds me of something:
i have a little alarm-clock-radio and i have the following effect on it: if im far enough away then it works good (about 2 meters). if im close to it then it just crackles but as long as i touch it it works well again. i guess my body absorbs the radio waves but gives them to the radio if i touch it.
Hmm, the opposite seems to happen with me..if I'm nowhere near my radio, it's all crackly, but if I touch it then the signal is clear as day.
lol... I don't think that's a special power... All objects, including the human body, cause interference or facilitate the propagation of radio waves to a certain extent...
Haven't you guys ever had a situation where the whole family was trying to watch TV, and it only worked when someone was holding on to the antenna, so you'd have to take turns holding the antenna?
Spoiled kids and their cable TV, tsk tsk tsk! :P
