Shadow spirit?

Sometime recently I have seen a couple shadowy figures that had glided by me. I assume these to be spirits. Recently I saw very clearly a Shadow moving across the earth very quickly then vaanished. I looked about but didn't see anything above it to have caused a shaodw. The sky was clear blue not a cloud in it. Any idea on what this might have been? n.n;

I remember in one of Carlos Castaneda books, he saw 'death' on a rock and it was a shadow or something.

Castaneda's books are really good. I wouldn't get too caught up in the mystical aspects, but those books should keep you busy for a long time. Mind opening stuff.

Don't you think if you could see a deceased humans spirit in the physical world you would also be able to see a projecting humans spirit? Also, if you're ever projected before in the etheric you should notice that you aren't just a "shadow", so since you're no different in appearance from the deceased humans spirit it can't be a spirit. That is unless that is how they appear in the physical world. It could've just been a hallucination or just your own shadow, I really don't know.

I've projected yes and I know what its like and what i look like.
I have also seen a couple spirits and they don't appearer as shadows to me yet.
Also it is more then likely possible for a spirit to create a shadow and its also more then likely possible for an astral projector to do the same.
Hallucination is possible though I don't try to believe that for if I did most of the things I do see I would assume to be hallucinations and that would take all the fun out of it. 
My own shadow would be connected to my body. This shadow was two or three feet away from my body. It wasn't connected to anything around it and moved rather quickly.

Dark spirits appear as shadows, usually with glowing yellow eyes.  Spirits of the light appear in color. Sometimes, if you see movement or something, it's stray energy from your body.  I see a lot of these but usually they look like tiny white comets.  It comes from a lack of focus and it usually occurs around people who are new to psychic phenomena and are exhibiting exceptional progress.
