spirit guide or angel?

It sounds to me like someone who knew you. Were you going through anything particular, or was there a departed dear one in close time proximity. In other words did anyone you knew pass over prior to the experience. We are talking about 1-6months.

It certainly sounds like you were having a very classic OBE. In my experience it is often people we have been close to who become spirit helpers guides etc that is why I asked. Try to check it out with your Mom. Maybe an aunt or distant relative ? Just a suggestion.

I was told that angels usually take people away from where they are. Is there any sign that it was an angel? I'm pretty sure that it wasn't an aunt or a relative (that I know at least), plus if it was a relative, why were they visiting me?

When I was little, maybe between 5 and 8, I remember having these dreams (at least I thought it was a dream back then) where I would wake up (false awakening possibly) and see a being walk into my room. The being was female. The only words I remember right now is her saying to me "I won't hurt you" (and she didn't). I don't remember asking who she was. I then remember being taken out of bed and into another room where she would talk to me for a few minutes. I was scared at this time, I remember floating outside of my room (and screaming, no one heard me) and I looked into the living room to see my mom there either reading a newspaper or watching tv. This happened again (possibly the next day). This time I left myself without help. I walked into that other room and all I remember is being asked "how are you?". I think that time I actually didn't fall asleep there. I think I actually went back to my own room to sleep. I don't remember how many times this experience happened, but it was the most realistic "dream". To be honest, I don't think it was a dream. Who do you think this was that came into my room? Was it an angel or a spirit guide?
