Hi Paul,
I've always believed in a such theory and I think that you are totally right when u say that "the existence that I live in just has to be my own". But then we must ask ourselves does the world really exists or it is just in our head? Else how could we explain that if we jump on another stream that the entire universe changes too.
I could imagine it like bubbles. Each bubbles are all our possible streams. A 3d world in which we travel. Each bubbles are connected to each others, that way, if we jump on another stream in our bubble, only a path connecting to the others is changed. That way, everytime we make a decision, we are only influencing others possible choices who are directly connected to us. It is like a big ever-changing spider web.
Well, thats what I think :)
pmlonline, the universe doesnt revolve around you. You can change small things like traffic because you have more power than most people consciously use. I've probably done similar things rarely, but am never completely sure I caused them.
"I've always noticed that when I become interested in something, a hobby, it seems like the world / everyone else becomes interested in that."
Your thoughts radiate from you and other people who are thinking about the same thing will notice them unconsciously and be more likely to talk to you. The whole world didnt change. You attracted the part that you wanted.
I agree with both your theories that we connect the worlds by moving between them.
Hi All,
Excellent topic Paul, I like the theory you have put forward it makes sense that choice is one of the primary providers of experience.
I loved the traffic part, and as Beavis said, it was so because you use more energy that a lot of other people. Also, to effect this type of thing requires a massive storehouse of personal power or an open connection to the divine source to insure you do not come away drained from the experience. You could simply open up and bring in more light to top yourself up with, which is a direct connection to the source.
And I understand fully what you meant by other people being attracted to something after you did. This has been a reality in my world too, from hair styles to collections etc. I have not thought of the mechanics of it and what Beavis says seems to have a ring about it.
I was taught that our life is like a river delta approaching the sea, it has many paths that the river can and will run but it will always end in the sea. The analogy was that each divergence from the main flow was one choice we made in life and it automatically included certain experiences on that divergent path. So it is very similar in concept to your string jumper theory.
Don Juan Matus spoke about our life and the world that we experienced as being our own creation, and that a time would arrive for earnest practicer's when 'their world' came to an end. Meaning that the constructions of choice and perception would eventually cease, thereby allowing us to see clearly that we are the creators/choosers . This too is not too far from your theory in essence.
Also, I have always had an attraction to the Matrix concept as for me it fits the observed patterns of human behaviours and choices. SO maybe we all better check ourselves for leads and plugs on the back of our necks. LOL Thanx Paul.
Love always.[:)]
pmlonline, I think you dont create an entire universe for yourself because my theory is simpler and explains just as much. Everybody is in the same universe.
"Example, instead of thinking that a psychic predicted the future, this theory would suggest that the psychic simple attracted that specific future unto himself. That is, the psychic jumped to another universe that he predicted."
Whatever time it is, is always "now" whenever you can affect it. "Past" and "future" are only descriptions of a "now" that you arent at. Since all time exists now, you can think about a future or past event and if your thoughts are similar enough, you will get some real information. We dont have much influence now, so we probably dont have much influence in a different time either. Time is what separates the physical universe from astral and above. Here, energy flows mostly in 1 direction (between -45 and 45 degrees from straight ahead in the time direction). That is not normal. In astral and above, energy can flow in more directions which creates loops, something not usually seen in spacetime. Think about how much work you could get done if you had a time machine (could make a loop). Do a little work, send it back to yourself, and start from there. A small effort can repeat indefinitely to do huge tasks. You start and have the end result immediatly. Astral kicks butt.
"I figure the existence that I live in just has to be my own in some way because how can one single person change the universe."
That is what confused me. I agree that there are many smaller universes that appear to be separated but are connected by our moving between them.
