Reiki and Trancemediumship

Hi dreamy, Ive had an expirience that would sound similar, whilst healing a lady, i had a message to have a glass of water and hold her feet, with no idea what to expect? I rappidly went in to a trance and partialy O.B ed ! and had the sensation of bieng sat in after a short while I grounded us both and my patiant reported a floating sesation and a paralasise of thought and body, she also had been substantaily cured of her illness after a few days. I truthfully havent practised it or invited it again as Im not developed enough to understand or get involed with it but thre are peolpe that do. I believe any body doing any healing work will have a guide for thier development. I thoroughly recomend Betty Shines books, Mind Waves, Mind Magic and Mind to Mind, a down to earth explanation of all this from probably one of the worlds best healers. Gud luck M Ka.

I think it'd be dangerous to "mediate" another being while healing someone, you could connect things that might not be benificial

Thats not possible, by the nature of universal law you could NOT  chanell anything negative for healing.  There are many people in spirit i.e Doctors, surgeons, healers  etc who wish to continue their work though healers and mediums.Very developed healers have been asked for instance to step away from a patiant while spirit friends have perfomed pschycic surgery as its called, using the the mediums energy in the room to work through. There has never been documented any one ever bieng hurt, made ill or die from any type of spiritual healing! its a matter of universal law! Anybody tells you anything different has probably read to many witch craft fiction. However thats all ok if they choose to work through you for the excellence and quality of your mind,and if you are developed enough to understand or recieve a communication of that kind. They choose us, we dont choose them. In nother words i would not recomend (in my limited expirence) seeking that kind of communication, if we are ready they will seek us. Any way in answer to the origonal question, I understand that we chanel Gods energy, our own energy and universal energy for Healing. Our guides will always be around to help us in more subtle ways that we may not even notice, like helping to raise your vibration for e.g.

Does anybody have any information/opinions on the possible trancemedium/channeling connection with doing Reiki?  Is it, in itself, a trancemedium experience?  The technique I was taught for it involves drawing energy down through the 7th chakra.  And I was also told (and am aware) that becoming a Reiki practitioner involves Reiki guides.  Do the guides automatically use your channeling channels to help you heal?  

Any insights would be appreciated.
