I studied Tarot reading years ago and have a couple of different sets. One based on Dragons, the other is the Thoth set.

I learned all the about the cards and what they stood for etc. and found them to be a great divination tool.

Since jumping into this practice of meditation, Phasing and Lucid Dreaming, I have come across a number of things that kind of call to me, lets say.

One of them was my Egyptian Healing Rods and now I am being shown cards. But these cards aren't the norm for Tarot. They have completely different pictures and symbols, like the cups, swords etc. have been replaced by Chrystal, Orbs etc. Even the King, Queen, Prince and Princess have been replaced with different keys.

When I got my Healing Rods I received a book with them telling me how to use them. But I was told ahead of time not to read anything about how to use them, but to allow the Rods to show me how to use them. The same happened with my Tibetan Healing Bowl and now once again these Tarot cards.

My goal with these is to take every card individually and Phase on it. To learn whatever that card has to say to me, not what it says in the book. This makes it more adventurous. Then afterwards when I have did every card, I can go back to the book and find the true meanings that Patricia Cori and Alysa Bartha meant them to be.

The deck is named "The Sirian Starseed Tarot" and is very unique.

Is there anyone here that reads Tarot currently?
Is there anyone here that has experience using this deck?

It's quite new, so I think most people are just getting a feel for the cards right now.

Here is a link to the website. http://www.sirianstarseedtarot.com/Home/index_home.htm
Here is a brief into of the deck: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tPc0QAbIMo&feature=player_embedded#!
For people wishing more info on what Tarot is, here is a historical look at it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEeK8UaliGE

I am not advertising for them or receiving any kind of financial compensation from this site. My questions are only for my own personal inquiry.

Thank You!  :-)

I have been reading tarot since I was 8-years old. My mother gave me my first deck. I am almost 50 now. I have never paid attention to what other books or people say I should or should not do when reading the cards. I go with what my instincts tell me. I do readings for free. I sometimes read right out of the book from my Brian Froud oracle deck if I think the information can add to what I tell the individual whom I am reading for. I predict every thing I see in the cards good or bad. I have predicted a death once and the woman comes back to me for readings quite often because she says every reading comes true. She often brings people with her for me to do readings for. All of my clients come via word of mouth. I do not do readings online or by phone. I own many decks that are not traditional sets. Every deck I use was a gift from friend or family except my Brian Froud oracle deck. When I was a teenager I did readings for my peers and teaches for practice. They were always stunned afterwards because many of them started out a skeptics.

I have a Tibetan singing bowl and a crystal ball that I scry with to increase my psychic abilities with. So it is good to use tools but sometimes you have to listen to your inner voice not go by what others tell you.

I have a funny story about tarot. I had never really had much of an interest, but one birthday in high school some friends of mine gave me a book on divination thinking that I would find it interesting. I certainly did! That same day, someone in another class that I didn't even really know very well gave me a gift and it was a tarot deck. This was completely independent from the book. And it was kind of like a "whoa" moment.

I do readings when I am in the mood, though maybe it's not as authentic and "by the book" as most readings might be. For fun, I did a few over the internet and people were pleased by the results. I don't put too much weight into it and probably because I'm not hugely confident, usually what I share is rather vague. I really don't want to be foolish and say something that would mess someone up. I always had huge disclaimers of "please don't take word for word what I say", haha!

I like the feel of my deck, which is the important part, but the pictures are kind of weird. All surreal colors and lots of painted women, not all of them fully clothed or even clothed at all. But they're like blue or purple people and fairies and excrement so it's not that strange.

...who am I kidding?
Take to the sky, feeling so alive! Past the clouds to the Milky Way, share our secrets with the starry brigade. The stars surround us like a million fireflies. For once I see infinity... it's in your eyes.

Nice looking cards, I tend to see clairvoyance in cards so I havent learned the true meaning, juts go with how they speak to me personally as I read for someone, but I dont use them often personally  :-)

I have fantastic readings from people with cards and some very poor ones. I think the cards are only as good as the reader.
