Sidi(sp?) mystics

The word could be siddhi, from yoga, meaning accomplishment. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali go into detail on how to acquire them through meditation. It also says that some powers can be accomplished through pranayama, breathing exercises to control energy.

I was watching the X-files the other day and they had these Sidi, sedi, cidi, i dunno mystics on there that could make themselves seemingly invisible and projecting false images and it got me thinking about energy and all this metaphysical stuff. I was just curious if any of this is pluasible and if so can anyone do it? I was thinking using shields and that kind of thing it could work? maybe, i dunno. Thanks though!
