Channeling Vs. Telepathy

Telepathic communication could also be described as channeling, but what your referring to is more like what is done by a medium.

Telepathic communication is more a personal thing, and usually more for the benefit of the person sharing the link. Its like a symbiosis. Any communication is done through interpretation of the messages being fed directly into your mind. If you were to ask my guide a question, she would answer via my interpretation of her thoughts, or her thoughts through my words. It would then be difficult for her to provide an answer through me that I am unable to understand. Sometimes it does happen, but I still need to be able to have the language available for her to use.

Mediumistic channeling is where a person will willingly have their consciousness step aside to allow the personality or consciousness of the entity they are channeling to take control. Such people are less likely to understand what is going on and what is being said. They will not be fully aware of the situations as the information is often intended for someone else.

The thing here is that there are precious few real mediums who can truly do this. There are all too many people out there claiming to be mediums, who actually only have at best a telepathic or clairaudient links to other entities. This tends to lead to misinterpretations of what is actually being said by an entity, because the information is still going through the channelers own perceptions, so the "signal" can get coloured or tainted based on the channelers own perceptual "filters".

James.

Although I know nothing of channeling or communicating with entities that are not earth bound, I have a few stories to share on this topic.  I am very intrigued with the workings of the mind and recently I have had a new obsession with telepathic experience and something known in science as the Morphogenetic Field. This Field is also referred to in spiritual circles as the Transcendental Field or the Unified Field. All of these are just different terms for the same thing, the ways our minds link or otherwise known as Telepathic experience.

I have had several experiences within the past 6 months which have led me to conclude independently through my own experience that we are all indeed connected through our minds and can experience and feel what others are thinking.

This first happened after contacting an old friend. We had not been in contact for several years then one day I decided to look him up on the internet. Over the years, I would think about him and sometimes had a hard time getting him out of my thoughts which led me to try to find him several times. After finally successfully tracking him down and getting in touch, I could physically feel his presence around me on a regular basis even though he lives about 400 miles away. I later realized that this was because he was thinking about me.

It also happened after having a conversation with another friend who lives several hundred miles away. I went to bed that night and hadn't given the conversation a second thought. I woke up around 1:00 because my husband was on the computer and not in bed. I have a hard time sleeping when he is not there. However, the reason I could not get back to sleep was because I was picking up on my friends thoughts. I was having thoughts about our conversation but it was almost as if it were the thoughts of my friend, from his point of view. finally after about an hour, I was finally able to get back to sleep, only to wake up in the morning and find a long letter in my inbox relating to the exact thing I had been thinking and almost obsessing about the night before.

The third time it happened, my husband went for a walk in the early morning. After he was gone for about 30 minutes or so, I felt this strong emotional surge come over me and was in serious need of a big hug. When he got home, he asked me if I was calling him back (I denied it at the time because I was a bit freaked out that he could pick up on my thoughts like that) but that is exactly what I was doing.

New thought states that we all share the same mind (the mind of God) and given the right circumstances, we can all share telepathic communication whenever we want as long as we have a connection with the sender/receiver.  Also, there has been some scientific research relating to the Morphogenetic field... just do a google search to find out more or go to www.sheldrake.org.  Sheldrake is a modern scientist who is currently obsessed with this.

I used to think that channeling and telepathy were pretty much the same when it came to getting info from beings not in this realm. After looking at some examples of people who are channeling and some who are communicating telepathically with beings ive noticed some differences.

Channelers seem to be unaware of what they are saying and even at times thier voice changes to whatever being they are channeling. With channeling there seems to be some loss of the chanelers individuality or autonomy or self while the chaneling is going on, almost like a kind of possesion. Whereas with telepathic communication the individual is aware of what is going on can remember what was said and is still him/herself.

I bet both can be used to get perspectives form whatever being the person is in contact with the same degree of depth, but why would a channeler have to submit an amount of autonomy to get the info where as a person using telepathy doesnt?
If you will it it is no dream.
