encouraging prophetic dreams

My dreams are usually packed with symbolism and adventure that make sense in the context of what is going on or about to happen in my life only long after the fact, and with lots of interpretation.  Sometimes I even have dreams "for" other people, in which case the dreams mean absolutely nothing to me, but the person I relate it to understands it perfectly because it was meant for them. I have excellent dream recall, so I guess it's easier for me to get these messages and pass them on.  This happens especially with my boyfriend.

In the last few months, the prophecy part of my dreams has been shaping up; still mired in symbolism, but less so.  And I now dream of unplanned upcoming events and places much closer to the actual real-life visit or event.  For example, I dreamt of driving down in a big long car from an ugly castle with yellow towers, on a hill, at dawn, through a poor touristy village with one hotel, carrying a big candy striped umbrella.  Suddenly my boyfriend was there and we had to find a hotel room before "they" caught up to us.  The name of the town was clear but I'd never heard of a place like this in real life.

In the following few days, we unexpectedly bought a kitchen in another part of the country, and had to scramble to rent a van and drive down.  We wound up getting overtired and lost, and coming back home via an unfamiliar and very hilly route, in the rain, which made us even more exhausted.  We finally pulled into a truckstop around midnight and slept for an hour.  My boyfriend then suddenly woke up and drove off again in a real hurry.  I was watching the scenery and noticed that we were passing signs to drive toward a town with a similar name to the one I'd dreamt about.  I turned to tell my boyfriend and there on his side was the castle I'd dreamt about.  He turned on the radio a few minutes later and we learned that we'd narrowly missed a big accident caused by the rain, which would have kept us hours longer; we slept and left again just in time.

This is the most notable recent example of a semi-prophetic dream.  Other times I get just one weird image which in retrospect is a symbolic representation of something I need to be warned about (these wouldn't make much sense if I wrote them out).  I'd like to encourage this if I can, but aside from continuing to do what I have been doing all along, I'm not really sure what else I could do! Ideas? Suggestions? Experiences?
