When people refer to "psi" on forums like these, they're usually refering to "Mind energy."
Some people consider Psi to be different for chi/ki.
Some consider them to be the same.
(Same for chi and ki)
The following is taken from the book Psi by Charles T. Tart, Ph.D. who has written a number of books including Altered States of Consciousness and Body Mind Spirit: Exploring the Parapsychology of Spirituality.
"Psi is a general term that includes a wide variety of human experiences having the common characteristic that, in terms of our contemporary understanding of the physical world, they cannot have happened. Psi includes the three well-studied forms of extrasensory perception (ESP): telepathy, clairvoyance, and precognition."
"Psi also includes psychokinesis, which is the ability to produce physical effects on objects..."
In my opinion it is the above, but also broader and more encompasing phenomena. It would include just about everything we cover in this particular forum under metaphysics, for example, as well as many of our other forums here at the Astral Pulse.
