Nice find, one of our rescue cats chased a friends rotty out of the house. It was so funny to watch. We first thought she'd be dinner.
Poor dog had to be coaxed inside afterwards.
Big dog, a softie too which was a good thing when you think about it.  :-D

That was pretty bold- that was a fairly large dog to confront. Cats aren't believed to usually harbor much affection for their owners... so I wonder what motivated that cat.

The dog apparently stared at the kid for a period of time, days, maybe weeks; then made up its mind about something. Drag him away and eat him... Or at least quit riding that damn bike...

Meanwhile...the cat was watching...

No adult intervention needed; the world took care of itself and it's junior inhabitants. Fascinating.
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

I saw this on yahoo news and they had an interview with the parents. They said when the boy was a baby, this cat followed the mom and the baby from the park home and did not want to leave. The family kept the cat and she always slept with the baby and was near him all the time. So, I think the cat sort of adopted the baby as her own, because animals take little babies from different species and nurture them if the need. I think the cat perceives the boy as her own little one. If you noticed on the video, after the cat jumped on the dog, she turned towards the boy immediately to see if he was moving and was ok, then continued chasing the dog away.

Wow, a guardian cat instead of a guardian angel, or maybe it is one in disguise?

Damn maybe I shouldn't be so quick to throw my cat out of my baby's cot next time I find it in there lol
