Hologram-like, definitely.

But are we actual interference patterns in a lab on a plate illumined by laser guns? I sure hope not. That would be lame.

You're my hero.

i always conceived of it as something in a higher dimension kind of thing.  like a cube vs. a hypercube.

In "The Holographic Universe" (which I don't recommend after the first few chapters) it's stated that our brains are similar to a hologram, in that every part of it holds the entire picture to a certain degree. Similar to the way DNA holds the recipe for the whole. And you can extend this to the big picture as well - that each of us, while completely unique, at the same time hold the entire universe within us. Microcosm & Macrocosm.

Dang, I only read about half of it, but it bored me.  I was hoping it'd get more interesting at the end.

He starts using this guy's "miracles" as proof for a holographic universe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNVJyycAZYw&feature=related

That's when I wanted to throw it out the window.
