Once again, but in a new location, Scotland, the big European nations are staging the scene to discuss world poverty. The facts headline every NGO website - £58bn debts, crippling farm subsidies, disease epidemics and a total absence of basic infrastructure, including sanitation, schools and protected ecology. And whilst corporate development are gathering speed and riding on the back on children's health, literacy, opportunities, and values, the European nations are arguing over a £3bn rebate for Britain. Because Germany has huge issues with 5 million unemployed workers.
So it looks like the power mongerers are going to ruin the momentum for the LED countries and muffle their chance to be heard on the big stage. It's a good job we can all go to a concert afterwards...
