Largest INSECT plague about to hit US

it would be a plague of biblical proportions....

...but cicada's are a little more than a nuisance for humans (loud noise)

and they will help support birds and other animals, as there is going to be a big feast soon enough,

I heard that cicada's are high in protien, and taste great barbecued,

haha that would be texas. Ive always grown up calling those locusts. Some people even call them teradactiles. No idea why though.

Ugh.  I hate cicadas.  They look like giant mutated horse flies, they're super loud, and I've heard they can deliver a pretty nasty bite as well.

And I think the plague has reached the Netherlands already; suddenly (since a couple of days) it's full of those damn little black flies here.

Yes, I have to agree about the black flies, they seem to be lasting a bit longer than usual, and they're mixed in with the skeeters, so it's hard to pick them out

It's already starting to be DEER FLY SEASON!!!  Those little nasty things pack quite the bite!  Freaking feels like you're being stung.  It's quite funny driving down thru my back fields and watching them cluster around the mirrors.  Just mske sure you wear 100% deet when you go thru an area with deer flies!
