Bizarre Greenland Winter Heat Wave

As a book rose on the US bestseller lists claiming that global warming was a "scam," and conservative radio hosts nationwide began claiming that this year's harsh winter meant that the problem was 'bunk,' increasingly catastrophic signs of impending sudden climate change continued to build.

During the second week of Feburary, a completely unprecedented and unexplained heat wave struck Greenland. Already, melt off Greenland's glaciers has reached record proportions. Should this heat wave be a portent of a hot summer in the far north, the stage will be set for the unfolding of a serious climate catastrophe.

This could take the form of ultra-violent weather, or the collapse of substantial amounts of Greenland ice into the sea, or both.

The official record of 60.8 F was recorded in the town of Frederikshob on the west coast on February 20. The temperature is the highest recorded winter temperature ever recorded in Greenland.

Greenland's coastal areas do not typically have harsh winters, but this temperature was forty degrees above normal for the month. The warm air spread northward, raising temperatures all across the ice sheet before dissipating in the high arctic.

The warm air originated in the Caribbean, and rolled north along the frontal edge of the jet stream. It was not an unusual formation for summer, but for it to appear in midwinter was unprecedented.

The event went generally unreported in the United States.

I don't believe in Global Warming. I'm freezing my butt off here in Massachusetts, 9 months a year.

Florida and Jamaica believe in global warming. The hurricane season was terrible this year for them and they both had serious crop losses. Some people died, too.

I'd welcome some of that heat up here man. It's like 7 out today.

I thought I told you about the book "The Bliss of Inner Fire" by Lama Yeshe. Lama Yeshe says that it can be accomplished to some extent even before the preliminary exercises are completed.

The problem with global warming is that it means more storm damage and smaller crop harvests. It also means as the poles and glaciers melt off that the coasts are going to move inland. I read on AOL's news a while back that Miami could be underwater by 3000.

I don't recall you mentioning that? What can be accomplished? What exercizes?

It is a way of staying warm in cold weather, but that is a side effect of learning to control the internal energies and of being able to bring the energies into the central channel. I told you you should look into it as a way of having more energy to work with. The preliminaries mostly involve increasing the health of the body, removing negativity from the mind, increasing energy in the body and mind, and improving the quality of the energy which you draw in.

In order to try to stay on topic, global warming is bad and it is getting increasingly difficult to avoid seeing the proof of it.

knucklebrain1970

Yeah, I hear you Tom. I just joke to people as here in the upper east coast, we don't seem to get any off the affects of global warming. It seems to be the opposite here for us. I'm just in a real lull as of lately. I was starting to feel good and then the flu came along and BAM, back feeling like crap again. But I agree, 3/4 of it is my miserable attitude. I'm worried about Jeb Bush, doesn't he live in Florida?

Jeb Bush has had a terrible year. The tomato crop was ruined at the same time that Mexico and California had problems with their tomato crops. If it hadn't been for global warming, then his state could have made a fortune instead of spending tens of billions of dollars on hurricane damage. The fact that all of those people had to leave their homes and that some people got killed was bad, too.

Your weather is getting worse because more cold air is coming down from Canada and staying longer. The air currents which kept that air under control are no longer doing this as well. There was a town in Texas which had snow this winter for the first time in something like 86 years.

knucklebrain1970

Yeah, I feel for the people down in Florida. I have friends down there. I was kidding about Jeb Bush. I don't know him much, but I assume he's just like any of the other Bush's. Greedy pigs. So I guess I'll have to get use to Winter ha?

Are the people who realized that this global warming was happening sure that it is caused by man? Last I heard, we were still coming out of that last ice age.

No your all wrong, it's George Bush's fault. Blame it on Bush. Hey, if we all drive cars, we're all partly to blame right? But on the other hand, cars should run on air by now, not gas. Oil just plain pisses me off. 2005 and we're still burning fossil fuels. Aliens must get a good chuckle when they look down on us idiots. Advanced civilization ha? Well I'll give up my car no problem, but I need it to get to my job so I can make money to afford my wooden box that holds my bed and all my Earthly possessions. Earth, gotta love it.
