Well the pursuit of knowledge really begins in philosophy and most schools see philosophy as going off topic too often, so they limit it. Self-expression should never be limited. Where there are barriers there can be no creativity and hence no progress. We really need more minds to play amongst the stars.

the pursuit of knowledge isnt limited to being a philosopher its about learning about anything and anything that interests you and seeking to become either conciously competent or an expert on the subject... unfortunately most people regard people like that as "nerds"... I dont see the point in that. haha its none of my business what anyone else thinks bout me anyways...so I couldnt care less! Im not subject to the mind control of negative conditioned response due to judgment.

Science is bound by evidence, philosophy by logic, art has no boundries. Self-expression is really my main point, it's allowed within the boundries of certain topics. There is really not much quantum theory discussed in great detail in schools next to Newtons laws which are seemingly being discarded to mind effecting matter. So the kids are still learning that it's just matter effecting matter without that integrated role of mind. It's more a rumour in the public mind that a reality at the moment.

I really don't critisize our school system right now lol.
They're doing a great job.
If you want to learn, you can learn and find out about anything, gain knowledge, it's fun.
I don't think you don't have to be a nerd, a nerd is a stereotype of behaviour.
Usually lower status behaviour, not feeling you deserve anything because your status is low.
So nerds usually do bad at school, but after school they do want to understand why some things the way they are. (Some of them don't and they waste time playing D&D)
It all depends on how they are raised really...
I just don't like languages nor art education.
We should just learn 1 language and stop wasting time with art / music etc.

About intelligence, my philosophy about it is that knowledge IS intelligence, so imo, anyone who does bad at school, is just raised differently.
My experience is that emotions overpower the logical thinking pattern of the brain.
In other words: your brain decides what you can and can't learn.

You can't just sit in a room alone and learn any knowledge accessable to man.
You have to obey the rules of progression of evolution.
If you do not do this, a specific neurotransmitter will be released, forcing you to stop doing whatever you are doing, and demand from you to do your objective.
If you do not do this, you will feel depression.
If you still don't obey it, more deppression will follow, the brain can make you feel so bad or so good.
Depending on your cooperation.

Again, this is just my experience.
I didn't try to be smart, I just tryed to isolate myself from the world to finish the puzzle once and for all.
But the ammount of deppression you feel is just impossible to fight against, you don't even have the power to fight back anymore...

I think to be fully knowledgable of the absolute truth, you have to follow and obey the rules of evolutionairy progression and then learn to switch your brain on to logic mode.

Again, from my experience I found out that the more you spend your time with stupid people, the more social control you can actually feel if you put your mind to it.
Social control also means that there are more neurotransmitters to be released. (I think)

Eventually, the message here is that your brain doesn't want you to figure all this out, I just think that it works that way.
It doesn't want you to have all the knowledge, it wants you to make sure evolution progresses.

But it's all thanks to men that have exceeded this boundary that we have the knowledge we have today.
I have no idea why I wrote all that but it made me feel a lot better, sorry for going off topic.

I'd say intelligence is 'living knowledge'.
