For me a lot that he said made a lot of sense to me and I agree with him.
What about you guys. Discuss :)
I haven't watched it all yet, but I like the cut of this guy's jib.
what is a jib by the way? anyone?
Anyway, I get a good vibe from him and a lot of it does resonate.
Thanks.
This guy is pretty good.
I also like Thomas Campbell a lot- he reminds me a lot of Robert Monroe, and has similar theoretical platfrom:

someone posted a video of thomas campbell a couple weeks ago.
it was recorded at the monroe institute.
it was funny because i had a customer like the day before the post who came into my store and said he had just been at that thomas campbell lecture.
i live in richmond va by the way, like an hour from the monroe institute. and i work in a metaphysical bookshop. (posted for context)
I'll have to watch that at work tomorrow.
As for Thomas Campbell...
I didn't agree with the vast majority of what he had to say.

Yea, I haven't really listened to him but I don't like the feeling I get from the little bit I've seen of him.

hmmm....
I watched his stuff maybe 6 months back... I definitely can't endorse all of it, but I remember thinking it was mostly solid. What parts did you guys feel were off?
Just finishing up the first video... and I wanted to post about it right away while it was fresh in my mind.
He makes a very good point when he says "What is consciousness?".
He then goes on to make the point of commenting that when we sleep we say that we're "unconscious" and when we're awake that we're "conscious".
Well, he's right in that that's a very bad definition... because as he pointed out, we're still very conscious and experiencing things even while we're sleeping at night.
We definitely needs a new set of terms for this.
I'll continue as I watch more. :)
