ah just one more thing. Regardless of whether or not you support violence or non-violence. Dont listen to the media when they make "extremism" out to be something bad. Extremism is an word cowards use when your world view seems to threaten theirs. Do you want to live a moderate life? i know i dont.

Hi Burning Angel.  I was not saying it is ok that weapons manufacturers make a fortune from every war.  I was simply stating a fact.  When we fought with swords, the blacksmiths were often the richest men in the village.  That hasn't changed.  Nor will it as long as we humans are what we are and provide a market for weapons.

Recognition is not approval.  I don't like those who trade off other people's misery be it weapons makers, phony psychics, drug companies, etc.  But I know such things exist and can at least try to not be on the receiving end of their manipulations.

You point on being extreme - I am generally a peaceful person, but I  will bite the dog back if attacked.  Otherwise you are saying beat me, kill me, starve me, torture me, do anything you want to me and I will not fight back or try to escape.

Extreme is also being in love with war and killing and maiming and torturing and enjoying that momentary sense of power such things give the person doing them.

Most of us are not Ghandi.  His tactics only worked because, unlike some, the British were not willing to kill the millions who followed him. Surely, he knew that.  His tactics would not have worked with Hitler or Idi Amin or the Khymer Rouge, or your pal, Saddam Hussein.  They would have all been wiped out and put into mass graves as were their very real victims.  Which just proves there is something to be said for knowing your enemy and just how far he will go or not go.

And few things or people are 100% anything.  If more of us were 100% good and peaceful, the world would be a far different place than it is today.  I would love to see that, but I doubt that it is going to happen in my lifetime or yours.

ok it's about the film again...about the 9/11 comission which confirms some of the film's facts.

p.s. from what I've read M.Moore doesn't mind if his film is being downloaded from internet for free...so I guess if you really want to see the film it won't be a problem.

you decide. I for one think so. Im not entirely convinced that there are were any "strong" ties between iraq and any terrorist organizations, other than the fact that Iraq is in the middle east, and the terrorists "being middle eastern" were to. But regardless of whether or not there were any ties i think this war is a good thing. Its imperitive we show other nations we wont take s*** sitting down. Even if iraq didnt do anything to begin with, who cares? I think every now and then its "good practice" to show your might just so other nations dont screw with you. This may seem insensitive but i dont even care about the innocent people in iraq that are dying, I say bulldoze their homes and plant a wal-mart with an american flag on top, for no other reason than the fact that we can.
