Lightning

Hey everyone,

I decided to rejoin this forum after becoming interested in OBE's again recently. I first created an account back in 2005 but didn't turn into a regular contributor.

Last Saturday I read a post where Summerlander strongly recommended one of Michael Raduga's e-books called "School of Out-of-Body Travel". So that night I began to read it. It's very informative and I highly recommend it as well. After going to bed I reminded myself to wake up and be very alert in the morning. I woke up around 8 a.m., lying on my back and feeling the vibrations. I didn't do anything to make them start. Being completely still, eyes closed, and letting the vibrations grow stronger, I suddenly felt (for the first time, something new while attempting to project) my hearing becoming distorted rapidly and then my ears popping. It felt like going underwater. Next thing, there was absolute silence and I could feel my other body separating gradually, but my head got stuck. The rest of my body was floating above me, but I couldn't see anything. I felt frustrated and woke up. The next morning I was very alert at first but then kept falling asleep trying to project, so I just got out of bed.

Tuesday morning was different. I was lying on my left side when I woke up and felt the vibrations occurring naturally again, so I tried to amplify them and it happened almost immediately. After that my ears popped. It was the same as before. I could feel the body separating now, but this time I remembered to roll out of bed. I completely separated for the first time. I couldn't hear or see anything, so I tried to open my astral eyes and started using a technique (rubbing hands) to gain clarity. I could see my hands, they were transparent, but my vision remained blocked except for a small area in the middle. Another thing that also disappointed me was when I turned around and didn't see my physical body lying in bed. I guess it had to do with my vision not working well. I even used the "Clarity now" method but nothing happened. Then I woke up.

Have any of you experienced that limited vision before while projecting? I need all the help I can get regarding that subject. And also, do you always see your physical body once you're out?

Hi Lightning, Don't try to look at your body, get right away, otherwise you will just wake up.
Get as much experience as you can by floating away, go through walls or doors and dive up into the astral. You can experiance looking at your physical body, from a distance, later.
You will have limited vision staying near your body because you are not yet in the Astral, you are in the Etheric or 'Real Time Zone' you have to get further away and you should automatically phase into the astral. I don't wait I dive through a window or walk through a door and down the street.
Good luck, djed  :-)

Hi djed, that thing about the RTZ effect on vision makes a lot of sense to me. Thanks for the advice  :-)

The cool thing is, this morning I did see my body. I tried the rope technique for the first time, and it worked ridiculously fast  :-D

Took about 5-10 seconds maybe to separate, and I did not hear any unusual sound this time when the vibrations ended. I floated from one side of the room to the other only once, because it was difficult to move. I tried the Clarity method and while it did bring some light into the room, the whole atmosphere was still foggy. I turned around and could see my physical body lying in bed. I started approaching slowly, focusing on my face. For some reason I had the thought "Now my physical body will probably morph into a demon." I was doubting the reality of the experience. But nothing happened. I saw my face clearly, and then woke up.

Next time I'll go out and explore  :-D

Hope I can provide some useful insight.

I have not had projections for a while but about a year or so ago I was adept at willful projections. I just lack the time right now to practice and grow again. Anyways my input ->

The whole "head" not separating happened with me quite a bit...my body would be floating above at a 90 degree angle but then my head would be stuck and I could not separate. I lay on my back in the mornings so at first my legs always rise out of my body and then my arms etc until I get to my head. I usually can create a swaying motion that allows me to leave my body entirely. I also create a "rolling" motion to pop out as well since most of the times my head is the last part to separate.

Limited vision is common for people who are either just new at projection or they do not have methods of increasing local vision. When I say "local" vision I am referring to the clarity of the area directly around your body. In time you will learn to focus on specific objects or shout the commands as you have tried already to improve clarity. Techniques vary widely and you will find your own method.  In time you can learn how to increase the radius of this vision to see more of the RTZ (like your entire room). When I am out of practice and don't have a projection for several months -- I also experience "fuzzy" or blurred vision. I consciously know that I have left my body but have no clarity towards what I see or where I am going. I will often feel myself floating through walls but have no clear vision when I am out of practice. I have also had instances where my physical body would be missing. This is discussed in the forums as well (you might find some of my old posts that discuss this)

I notice the strange popping noises and sounds when I do not return to my body correctly. Usually its an instant transportation but if I wake up before I "snap" back to my body then I am often left with either hypnopompic hallucinations or odd buzzing/popping noises.
I wandered slowly there
I saw a field where a thousand corpses lie
Angels sang the hymn of the end
About monsters which they fought
Over our world

Thanks for the reply, ka0s.

Ever since I had my first complete separation, I didn't get stuck again.

Nowadays when I project, I also don't hear the popping sound and I don't force myself out of the body, I just float away gently.

My vision is greatly enhanced when I go out of my room. I had 2 projections recently where I floated around town. It didn't look exactly like the actual place where I live, there were many fictional buildings yet everything seemed real. I even touched a woman and I could feel how solid her body felt. But, I'm beginning to think AP's & OBE's are both just lucid dreaming, cause I was influencing everything, at first passively (just letting the subconscious handle it), then actively, by manifesting things, teleporting somewhere else, etc.
