Long story short...
I got a good 6-7 hours of sleep. (I have a cold) so it can be hard to drift off and go to sleep. I can't recall any dreams that I had... but when I woke up I felt really positive and I think I wanted to give astral projection a try. I kept repeating to myself "This is going to be good" or something like that... it was very hard to recall. I was very sleepy and comfy. I got the famous falling sensation. Only this time it was really smooth... I then get the tingling feeling. I noticed my fan went from it's regular sound to a more "loud clear" sound. I literally felt my astral body shoot out above me for about 3 seconds or so. Very powerful feeling... I tried moving my astral hands and I believe I may have moved my thumbs a bit. I was back in my physical body very quick though and never got astral sight or any of that. But It was a great experience!! The feeling of your body being jolted up like that is amazing. NO really fast heart beat this time either. I was extremely calm. I am getting close!! Just wanted to share with everyone! :- )

PS: I am on anti anxiety meds now. I am on Klonopin and Cymbalta. I can't function without them. I am not ashamed of admitting this and am very open so I don't have any problems with sharing this information. This experience I had was not medication related either. It was the same feeling I been having since I was even off meds. It was just stronger this time.

ALSO: RIght after I woke up... Cyndi Laupers song "Time after time" was stuck in my head and still is. What is this all about? I haven't heard the song forever. Kinda weird...

Anyway! Hope you all are well. :D

Greetings Army of One
You are making good progress. Remember that most people need to keep trying for several days or weeks or more. Next time might be the charm (= success = OBE). Or the time after that (or the one after that). So keep trying, stay focused during each attempt and remain positive. You will get there!

Thank you Grey.  8-)

Do you have any idea why that song may have popped in my head right after I almost OBE'd? I haven't heard that song for ages.

Thanks again. :-)

Interesting that.. i wake up in a morning after a regular nights sleep with such random songs in my head!!   Apparantly its normal, but no one really knows why!

Sounds great! I really have no idea why that sound would pop in your head but the mind is a funny thing. But yeah, the more you project or even attempt to project the more your body gets used to those incredible feelings, its possible the excitement of that jolt made you wake up, I know the first few times I tried to project it was brief because either the noise or vibrations or falling sensations were unexpected and kicked my physical senses awake. But that sounds great! Keep practicing and you'll be exploring the non physical in no time

@Boom - Yeah! I thought it was super interesting it was in my head. An Astral message maybe?

@jkjk Thanks man! I have noticed that I have been waking up after falling asleep feeling those feelings because my body knows what they feel like now. I just need to learn to relax more and I am on it! I tried again last night but actually fell asleep I was so relaxed and nothing ever happened. Always the next day though... At least I got sleep!

My heart pounds real fast even if I try and act calm, but my heart pitter patters REAL fast and I don't know how to calm it.

SirMike, just let it pass. Know that is can't hurt you. This is just another signpost on the way to the Astral Plane.

That could be a couple things.
Although, each of them should really just be ignored.

It could be your heart center... it could be due to excitement/fear...
Whatever it is, just keep practicing and you'll reduce the chances of it happening.  :)  Keep pressing on!
