i had some topics awhile back .. im still trying to project today im just pooped  i have been trying to AP since this morning i kept feeling the heavy arms but thats as far as i could go i tried liek every 2 hours or so for about an hour each time visualizing the house i grew up in. im just so tired i feel like im spiritually dead there is so much i want to do and i keep trying to no avail i have been trying at least once a day for the past month or so ..

Take a few day break! I suggest listening to music with binaural beats in them, you will get to that vibrational state twice as fast as usual. I still havent got out of my body completely yet but I have felt my astral body float a couple feet before.

Simply visualizing about something is not going to work.... it'd be a simple day dream.

You need the right condition of your body and mind and most importantly you should be in a deep trance. You need to silence your mind, do some energy work and breath work etc and then try to enter the vibe state and then use some exit technique to get out.

I suggest reading some books before you spend valuable time on it and then follow the methods systematically, step by step.

Robert Bruce's "Mastering Astral Projection in 90 Days" is a good book to start with.

I've found through my experience that if you try and force it to happen, it won't. I've gone days meditating, listening to all these Robert Monroe hemisync downloads, and my Tibetan Meditation Chakra CD and nothing happens!! It's like once I just kind of give up, and just put it in the back of my mind, it happens. Like yesterday was my fist time to be able to have an OBE in over 2 months. I just quit trying and then BOOM it happened!

So just don't try so hard. One thing that has helped me, is saying an affirmation several times a day. If you believe in spirit guides (whether you believe or not you have one) they are here to help you and can assist you in leaving your body. Here is the affirmation that Robert Monroe has as part of the series he takes people through in his program from the Monroe Institute. (you may want to check out the Monroe Institute Website)

Here is the affirmation. It may help. It helped me. Just say it before you take a nap, or go to bed or meditate.

Maybe you should get to the techniques section there and adopt a structured approach?  There are many kinds, find one that resonates with you (I think mine is in page 1 or two) and try it for a week or so, before you go to something else.
Visualization is good but not for everyone, and prob. as part of a bigger strategy, IMO.  While always sticking to one approach is limiting, starting out with structure is good, once some level of success is achieved, you can drop parts of it and add parts that work best for you, as it all changes, because it's an evolutionary process, IMO.
