Hey i have been tryin to astral project for a few weeks and have gotten very close, one thing i am curious about is it really works once u get to the point you can seperate, whats the simplest way to seperate once you feel that you can, and then astral eyes? do you just open your eyes or do you suddenly just see everything around you without opening them? Thanks in advance

For me astral sight just happens, I don't open my eyes at all. But I was astrally blind for a long time before I could see.
The simplest way for me to separate at that point is for me to raise energy and push a burst of it towards separation, sorta like getting pumped up before skydiving and then releasing that energy when you jump. That was a long time ago though, overtime the connection gets loosened up so that you just go with the flow. I remember feeling like I had ripped a pad of superglue off the back of my neck when I first started projecting... and many times of being stuck half way in, floating left to right, up and down trying to get out. I think just practice and time fixes it in the end.
(Lack of) Astral sight is still a thing that bothers me. It takes me a lot of will-power to gain vision in the etheric body. Once the astral body has separated, sight seems quite natural.
To separate, I do a lot of different things. The last one that worked well for me was to "pull" on the etheric body, which makes more sense when you know how that feels. Pulling is something I can do while fully awake (even as I type this), but it never seems to lead to release unless I'm fully relaxed and I move focus away from my body, to a point in the centre of my head.
According to standard theory (and when I say standard, I mean it's how the Hindus described it, and it's how the theosophists brought this information to the West) the instrument of perception is your desire body.
The desire body is 'made' of the same 'material' as the plane you wish to experience (hence the name 'desire'.)
In the material world, you inhabit a physical body which is equipped with organs of perception. These organs (eyes, skin, ears) interact with the energy of the material (feeling with your skin, receiving light by your eyes, receiving waves of sound by your ears). So the desire body of the physical is the physical body.
So in the etheric your 'desire body' (aka your energy body, your etheric body) is 'made' of the same medium as the environment it's perceiving- and this body's interaction with the medium is what the perception is. Imagine it as radar- the radiation itself is the perceptile mechanism, which comes back to 'you' with the information.
That's why each 'plane/environment/focus of awareness' "requires" a body vibrationally compatible with the medium- hence the astral body, the mental body, etc. etc.
But perception in the nonphysical doesn't require 'eyes', because the energy body receives the information from the matrix in which it's immersed. The reason why we 'see' in the etheric (aka RTZ) is because it's the closest to the physical, and the 'energy signature' is compatible with physical objects, and it's understandable in terms of images that our brain conjures up.
So we don't have astral 'eyes', we just process the information in images, and sometimes in tactile sensation.
Alright thanks guy, im trying to figure out now how to "pull" hah im a little confused but i think ill get it. I just wish i could get out of my body for once its starting to bug me =P
