A new "twist" on the Rope Technique!

When in bed it feels wrong to me to have the rope coming down from above. I use a mostly horizontal rope, with a slight incline going up past my head. It is more a horizontal rope than anything else. It is a lot of effort, usually, but there are times when it seems to pick up momentum and go on its own. Oddly, this usually also causes the rope to move into my body, and it feels like my "hands" are over my head, pulling the rope into my head. Still looking forward to projecting.

You can project while in direct contact with another person?

Amcturbo....congratulations on your experience, and thanks for sharing it with us.  My first OBE only had me getting halfway out of my body too...and even now, after hundreds of them, I get the occasional "stuck torso" syndrome which prevents me from getting fully out.  Kinda frustrating, but an experience nontheless!

Hi Tom,
Yes, I guess that I can!http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile_big.gif" border=0> Until this morning, I had never tried it ... it just spontaneously started and I went with it ... and it worked ... I wasn't even in sleep paralysis.  I could feel both my physical and astral bodies simultaneously, as well as the feeling of bilocation.  I even had minor visual glimpses of my astral body looking like it was made of transparent crystal glass, while I pulled on the rope.

I am definitely going to be doing this technique in the morning waking hours!

It appears that we've both positioned the rope nearly identically, but pulling from opposite directions.  I pulled the rope with my hands down towards my feet & pulling it up towards my chest ... kinda like a tug-o-war position ... as my body rotated up and out from the head, then down towards the feet (hence the "sitting up" comment).

I'm going to start experimenting with this and see how it works.  I have discovered that laying on my left side in fetal position (aka spooning position) seems to induce OBEs best for me.  Good luck with your rope techniques and I hope you get OBE soon!  Lastly, this was my first consciously/intentionally induced OBE ... all the other OBE's were spontaneous.  Good luck!

Cheers!

I think maybe the most important lesson from your experience for all of us is the fact that you were relaxed and therefore visualization, etc. all came very naturally.  It's important to remember that it doesn't matter where the rope is, what direction it's in, etc as long as it exerts that pressure on the subtle body...

Hi Everyone,
You know that special state you're often in, in the morning, just prior to getting up?  You know, the one where you're in and out of dreamland ... waking up ... dozing off ... rolling over ... enjoying that comfy pleasurable feeling ... YEAH!  That's the one!  You've been in it before so you recognize what I'm referring to.  I believe it is referred toas the Hypnogogic State.

Well ..... I was in this state this morning, about 12 minutes before my alarm would officially go off.  My wife was asleep and rolled over, waking me up.  So, I rolled over, snuggling up next to her Spoon-style.  At this point, I'm fairly awake and have clear thoughts.

Next thing I know, I start doing the OBE Rope Technique ... spontaneously.  Up until now, the Rope Technique hasn't worked for me  because I often have to force visualization ... it just doesn't flow smoothly.  This time, though, I was already in an altered state and started doing it ... the thought seemed to "pop" into my mind (Higher Self perhaps?).  Here's the interesting "TWIST" on the technique.  However, instead of the rope hanging over my head, it was PARALLEL TO MY BODY coming out of the wall at my feet. I started pulling on it, EXPERIENCING the pulling sensations, instead of visualizing ... and I started to SEPARATE from my physical body ... with ZERO OBE Exit phenomena (sounds, vibes, etc.).  I could actually FEEL my astral body pulling up and away ... while at the same time, I could feel my physical body laying there (DUAL CONSCIOUSNESS ... very interesting).  I ended up pulling out clear to the waist, much like the "sitting up and out" method ... and then was stuck, my legs wouldn't come out.  So, I pulled harder and by the time I had pulled out, up into the air and back down to the ground I had entered into an OBE/Dream combo, due to losing awareness.  I then started talking to my wife, in the dream, about what I had just done and how it works!

I thought I'd share this technique with all of you.  Perhaps you would want to try it in the morning, when you're passing in and out of that marvelous state between sleep and awake!  Good luck!

P.S.  Let me know if this technique works for you!

Cheers!
