I wake up Saturday morning to be greeted by the sun rudely intruding into my bedroom to welcome me to a new day.  It was now very hot in my room and I was hung over, probably still a little tipsy, from partying on Friday night/Saturday morning.  So, I decided to retreat in to the darkened recesses of my basement to continue my sleep.  Once there, I layed down and thought "why don't I try and phase?", but quickly dismissed it due to my condition.  I thought I am just going to lay down and see what happens and I will be open to anything, vaguely aware that It would be neat to write a report on phasing while hungover.
------------->
I am getting lost in vast depths of consciousness but maintaining awareness by a thread, until I feel the electric vibes that one associates with the traditional OBE experience.  I think "don't panic" just let them happen.  I feel the swaying "exist sensations", next thing I remember is i am racing upstairs to open the door to see if I can fly.  I open the door and there is snow outside.  I think to myself "It has to be like 90 degrees outside, why would there be snow".  All of a sudden I am in the back drive of my house and it is perfect weather out.  I decide to try and fly to no avail, so I think to myself "I really don't even care about flying, I want to go to Focus 2, then Focus 3".  I say "out loud" I want to go to focus 2" :) I am feeling movement, then I feel the "Vibes" in my physical body.
---------->
I let them happen to me and while they are happening I am trying to think of a rundown.  All of a sudden I am in some kind of refinery trying to get out due to the fact an arsonist has set a fire.  I am running around trying to get out when I run in to, and grab by the throat, the arsonist.  It was furry little creature, with sharp teeth, that said it was a chubacabra! :D I thought to my self "now that I got that handled I am going to try and phase into F3, or FZ, by making the slats appear.  Like magic the slats appeared to show darkness on the other side, so I transitioned into FZ.  Floating around, in a pretty groggy state, I thought what should i do in here.  I remembered in one of Franks post that he said to visualize Negs to prove to yourself that they exist here "in the imagination".  Before I had a chance to think otherwise my mind says very reluctantly "MONSTER..." (THANKS FRANK :evil: ) then I feel the body vibes again of F1
----------->
I "wake up" to music blaring in my headphones(?)(that weren't on) and a distinct impression of something "dark" behind the couch were I am laying.  I start "saying/thinking" "Cancel, Cancel" (old Silva mind control technique) wake up, wake up.  I wake up upstairs to be surrounded by creatures, so I think " I will destroy them and then phase out of Focus 2".  After some attempts at energy balls that didn't work I find a method to destroy them.
---------->

I am some old lady's kitchen and I look around at the drab setting and think "this is boring, I am going into FZ again".  So I stare AT the wall looking for the slats to appear.  Nothing.  Clicked out.

(Reason: I don't think it worked this time due to the fact I didn't use the Fuzzy vision technique and instead zoomed in on the wall looking for some change to take place)

Problems:

1.  All these experiences felt VERY dreamlike, but I am not about to dismiss them due to all the control I had in my thinking processes regarding "out of body" /phasing techniques.  Body vibes were real enough.

2.  The environments where not crystal clear and very shadowy.  I have had lucid dreams with AMAZING clarity in both the visual aspects and mind clarity.  These were of lesser quality. I am more used to the phasing approach which may afford me more mental clarity.  Are all "OBE's" like this.  Is there any real difference besides the view of projecting inside/outside the mind/body?

3.  The total, almost instantaneous, ease of the transition into FZ from focus 2, using the slats method, left me feeling it was a fraudulent transition on my minds part.

4.  My demeanor when projecting by phasing is that of a scientist.  Very detached in the focus 2 environment.  However, in these experiences I fell into the "Alice in Wonderland" effect and would have to pull myself out of these settings with a great amount of effort.

5.  Do you feel the body "buzz" when phasing?  I never have before.  Although I knew what it was like due to my run in with sleep paralysis.

6.  Is this what Frank talks about when he says that mystics, OBE'rs, wade through the Astral sludge?

7.  Will I gain more clarity with more experience, in both Phasing and OBE.  If not, then authors should tell their readers how foggy and dreamlike these experiences are.  I know they are both Focus 2 so should feel the same, but I have had amazing clarity in my lucid dreams before.

8.  Does Focus 3 still contain this "dreamlike" quality?

wow 3 people posted this kind of experiance in 2 days time! i think astralpulse as a whole is making great progress with the phasing technique. I cant wait to meet you all in F3oC and go on some crazy adventures :)

anyway frank has said before that dreaming and phasing are two different actions in the same area of consciousness. I take this to mean that dreaming and phasing, while both happening in F2oC, are quite different as far as your level of awareness goes. Heres what i posted yesterday:

Quotehe is just saying that while dreaming and phasing both take place in your F2, they are different actions. In the same way that riding a bike and riding a motorcycle both take place on 2 wheels. Just different "levels" as Frank said.

I think its crazy that you mention this. Just this morning I had a huge breakthrough. I was inside a dream (i think, my memory is foggy) and i started to phase. I gained lucidity, but here is where things are messed up. I was lucid, but unable to manipulate my environment. This leads me to believe that I was actually dreaming that I was phasing, and not actually phasing. This is what I believe Frank meant.

While dreaming and phasing both take place in your "imagination", they are 2 different actions, and while I can REMEMBER my dream of phasing, I wasnt actually consciously phasing. Hope that it up for you.

PS this experiance, while it might not have been full blown phasing, was still a blast as I dont remember my dreams that often. I heard taking lecithen daily can help, so i think i will try that.

PSS In my dream, right before I phased i experianced a slight vibration, it was in my back i think. Then the "dream scenery" would sort of fade in and there I would be. Is this anything like the real phasing experiance or is my mind messing with me?

My guess is that you were actually dreaming the whole time. Not being able to fly, not being able to change the wall in the ladies ktchen, etc etc etc. It seems like in both of our experiances we were the observers and were only along for the ride as it were. I felt that exact same feeling when i woke up, man and i can relate. I felt like i was sure i was dreaming. But i think this is just hidden progess. Like you said dont discount these experiances at all, even if they are simply semi-lucid dreams its great progress.

hope that helped ya, and keep up the practice

Ben

ps. this experiance i had was also after i had woken up and walked around for a bit. i think the morning is definitly the best time to practice as your "plugging back in" so to speak.
