after effects of projection

After some of my first projections I felt somehow "hollow"; it is really hard to describe it. I just felt I lacked some energy and was physically weak. It still happens to me sometimes but I have not yet discovered what the reason might be.
Another point is the dreams! I had never had such dreams before I started projecting. Most of them are so colorful, so clear, beautiful - I can't find words to describe them. They seem to be more vivid than reality. Moreover, some of them happen to be the reflection of future events (things usually happened the next day). What's weird, though, is that in all cases my dreams were mirror-images of what was going to happen, that is, exactly opposite.

your description of your vivid wonderful dreams matches the dreams that i had last night.  it felt like i was in real life instead of in a dream.  however, they were mostly scary or intense, and i guess i still need to find a way of making my dreams good instead of bad.  lately i've been having a decent amount of bad dreams or nightmares.  any suggestions on that, bb?  or anyone?  i know it's not a neg because i've done everything possible to clear out negative energies during my meditations

No, I'm sorry... my dreams have always been positive and peaceful. Well, sometimes neutral, but the scenery - always wonderful. I'm not an expert on nightmares, but if I have one (which is very rare), I try to interpret and understand it; once I've done it they never come back:)

The only side effects I have heard that come from astral projection are developments of psychic and mental abilities and more awareness. I have never heard of any negative physical side effects. You may just need to draw up and store more energy before you project if you are feeling weak afterwards.

As for your dreams, it is your perception of them that is bad and not really the dreams themselves. I have dreams that to describe would sound like nightmares, but I have not experienced fear while dreaming in a long time. Try to enjoy them and not be so emotional about them, if you have that kind of control. Honestly I am not sure why my dreams are not scarey even in scary situations. Maybe you should just look within yourself for unresolved issues that the dreams may be pointing at.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

Are there side-effects to Astral-projection ?

I never had an astral projection before, but now i´m more worried about that! How long is the duration if such nauseas  and side effects, and how horrible are they?

What is your daily routine) I mean: do you sleep little time or many time? Do you eat meat (how much)? DO you have any problems actually (emotional problems)? Make that questions to yourself, maybe the side effects start before you astral project. This are only supositions since i never get out of the body. Say something if you start feel better or if you discover thr origins of the problem...it would be an help for me too[:)]

I love you!

not to worry
i think it's mostly allergies that are making me dizzy (ears and nose are plugged) and i think it actually assisted in the projection process, but afterwards i got a little bad karma in return and it's just a little worse than normal
should go away when my ears and nose unplug :)
and the nausea is simply from the dizziness hehe

I too have had an increase in lucid and vivid dreams, ive also dreamed of projecting and meeting other projectors (though im sure they are just dreams and not real OBE).

Im not sure if this is a side effect, but since i started Astral Projection ive been told that I have been acting somewhat "aloof" and distant. Im not aware im doing this (its not like im avoiding pepole), but i guess i just have alot more on my mind now.

The main side effect I've had is heightened joy, perhaps euphoria at times, the day I wake up from a projection.

The more intense/vivid the experience, the more joy I'm filled with that day.

I get headaches I hear that is fairly common.

I use to have scary dreams but then one day a ghost was chasing me and I was scared I stopped turned around and told it to go away and it did.  Ever since then no really scary dreams.  My dreams are not as random as before I mean the seem to have a flow and im not confused when dreaming so I guess you could say they have evolved..

I was flipping through Astral Dynamics after my first couple projections, and I found what Bruce says about movement and momentum (especially in real-time) are very true.  It was awesome to read about the problems I'd been having during the projection.  However, there is nothing mentioned in the book about possible after-effects of projection (he does list what can happen DURING, so don't confuse what i'm saying with that).
I've found that some slight side effects include mild dizziness (of course accompanied by the nauseau - this could of course a result of projection along with allergies), mild vibrations when i lay down, and last night i had some extremely vivid dreams (it was almost like i wasn't dreaming but projected instead).  today the dizziness has settled down and i can lay down without too much trouble so i'm not worried about it, but i'm just wondering what everyone else felt after their first few projections, if anything?
