What does it mean when you roll out of your body (this is my second/third time ever) so things are pretty fuzzy....anyways....what does it mean when you jump and you do NOT FLOAT....I know I was not physically standing there because I could see my body in my bed!  also some of the things in my desk were not in the right order...a particular card I left on the desk to test this experience wasn't there at all!

also on my fourth and last time after that experience (using the rollover technique, which seems to work great...) I spoke with two old nice ladies outside of my apartment and asked them to wait 5min so I could wake up and see if they were there, the the lady said "Oh we get asked that all the time" and they both nodded.....it was cool.....they looked like they were picking berries or something right across the st....of course they were NOT there when I ran outside imeediately after waking up...lol....

were they figmants/dream characters, or something more "real"?  anyway to test next time?

I have a lot more details to share, but I'll be patient and wait for these answers if anyone would be so kind.  thanks in advance!

For me, floating is something I have to do, like walking. If I don't focus on floating, I stand there as well. But when I do walk while out, it feels and more like walking on the moon -- very bouncy and light with very little gravity.

Its pretty common to reach the stage to project and then do it multiple times in one instance, like you described. And rolling out is usually how I exit as well.

As for the ladies, the fact that they were aware enough to understand what you meant, makes me think they were probably real entities and not dream characters, although there isn't enough info to make a good determination. Next time you see them, ask them their names and what they are doing there. Often you can find out information from them and then research it when back in the physical and confirm your experiences. For me, I can sometimes tell by the way someone looks while out. Dream characters have a different look and feel to them than real entities. But I'm not sure how to explain it.
Reality is what you perceive it to be.

thanks so much for the reply!  One more quickie:  what can I do to improve my memory recall WHILE I'm IN THE OOBE STATE?  I'm aware of techniques while awake (journal, affirmations, etc) just wondering if I can concentrate or do something in the dream which improves memory retention when I wake up.

thanks again!

Do a lot of reality testing.  If you get used to doing it while awake, you'll automatically do it while asleep (or OB).  This will let you know that you are dreaming and then you can tell yourself (while dreaming) to remember.  Sort of like an affirmation while asleep.

CFtraveler,

Thanks.  Also, I've noticed in the last couple days I've had no dreams I remember or projections, etc...although I have felt more sensations before sleeping then ever before (whole body tingling, vs. patches of tingling, sound of running water [like a river] out of my left ear, occasional jerks of my lower legs/feet)

Is it normal after having a couple days of pretty cool experiences to just have DUD experiences where nothing is remembered or do I need to change something drastic?  Keep in mind I'm trying to achieve only my 5-6th projection now so I'm still very much a newbie....but I was enjoying 3-5 projections a week....(getting spoiled, lol) I just don't want to lose momentum, but if this is normal, then that's cool, I'll just be patient.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, these things happen in clusters- just keep up with your practice, and wait for the next one.
