Am I on the right track?

I need help. When I'm relaxing and am really far already, I sometimes (just now it happened again. I was bored so I tried to induce an OBE while the TV was running.) start to feel weirdly. I stop feeling my body, but then it feels so... heavy and I feel like I'm something IN this body, I don't feel that I -am- the body. The weird thing is: Sometimes when I'm really relaxed, a random body part twitches. The problem is following: This weird, even more relaxed state which feels "strong".. it happened twice already: During the first time, my foot started to move upwards, the right foot. It was so strange that I jumped up because I wasn't prepared. If you imagine the soul as a ghost inside the physical body, then it felt like I was the soul, and my soul-foot was moving out of my physical foot. I could feel the physical foot touching my soul-foot as it was moving upwards. The same thing just happened with my right hand, but when I was thinking about it, that it was moving, it stopped. Am I mistaken? Is this really my hand or foot twitching while I'm so relaxed that I no longer feel my body (which even starts to feel very cold)? My "joker" is that the twitching is usually a fast and sudden move, but the raising foot/hand was slower. While the twitching takes less than 1/4 of a second, the rising of my foot/hand wasn't a fast move, but it was ... medium-speed. I'd say it lasted for a bit more than a second.

Is this wishful thinking that I'm really leaving my body? Is it a twitching muscle? Or is it my spirit leaving my body? I mean, if you're leaving your body, does your whole body move at the same time? Or is it also possible that it starts with one body part?  When I stop trying to induce an OBE when I'm really really relaxed, I feel strange. My body is cold, for the first few seconds everything feels weird and strange. I stand up, and feel weird. I am also somewhat dizzy.

So yeah, that are my symptoms. Am I on the right track?

Saw no replies to your post and its over 2 weeks old and I know the sinking feeling when you keep checking your post for a reply especially when you ask a direct question for guidance so here goes.

My answer is that yes, it seems like you are on the right track. It seems to me you are learning to feel and get to know your etheric or astral body. I would try to stay away from classifying if what you are doing is right or wrong, just play around and experiment with these new sensations and keep an open mind. Try not to bring any fears to the experience because that can anchor you more into the physical and hinder your progress. I have started to have weird sensations also, I have come to just let them be and play around with them and let things happen naturally and try not forcing anything. Just be patient and it will eventually come when your mind and body is ready, but yes, it appears you are making progress, keep it up!

it can easily start with one body part, and doesn't necessarily move all at the same time.

one time when i was laying in bed, it felt as if i was waking up.  i turned my head, but i was actually only turning my astral head, while my physical head remained motionless.  i sensed a type of dual consciousness, both astral and physical, simultaneously.

then something strange happened.  a spirit entity took hold of my astral shoulder as if trying to astrally rouse me from sleep.  the being literally turned my astral body on it's side, and i was still sensing two bodies (my astral and my physical) simultaneously.

Thanks for the replies! I'll keep trying that then and see what will happen (:

I tried today before going to bed on my couch. I was tired and sleepy and sat up but my upper body was in a reclined position. I started relaxing fine but after about 15 minutes my muscles started toughening up and I wanted to stretch so badly! I couldnt sit still and got frustrated and said screw it so I got up and went to bed. This is almost the same thing that happens when I am laying down on my back. Maybe this calls for more drastic measures to loosen or un-anchor the soul from the physical such as fasting and sleep deprivation. Maybe sleep deprivation is the key for me because when I go without sleep for long periods I start to have very minor hallucinations and weird sh*t starts happening. From the old days of long World of Warcraft sessions lol! :)

Those hallucinations are nothing mystical x) They're the result of sleep deprivation. Similar to sensory deprivation: If you're in a completely dark room, if you're floating (let's imagine you can float, but not move), if you cannot hear anything because there's no sound, if you cannot taste or cannot smell anything, then you feel absolutely nothing. The brain isn't used to this and then starts its hallucination-programme: You start seeing things that aren't there, you start hearing sounds, you start feeling things etc.

just so the body is allowed to gradually adapt over many training sessions.  the body should only be pushed gradually, and not all at once.  it's very similar to a marathoner who starts running short distances before long distances can gradually be covered.  or a bodybuilder who lifts light weights before gradually progressing to heavier weights.  again, the body should not be pushed to the point of illness, as may be exhibited by severe hallucinations, headaches, dizziness, stomach aches, sore throat, ear aches, etc.
