body position for relaxation/ OBE?

i woud like to know what position everyone preferes when doing meditation/relaxing/astral
chair, layinf flat on your back, lazboy,...

i have a bad ankle and cannot sit in the meditation pose( with legs crossed) or lay flat on my back  for long time
i damaged the ankle joint playign sports and now it gets tense after about 20 min and i have to pop it and it destructs me enough break my concentration.

Here is a technuiqe i've learned when meditating whatever postition your in doesn't realy matter just focus on your breathing and if it starts to hurt just ignore it it'll eventually go away, if not then put you palm on the area that it hurts and imagine the energy in your stumich turning into a ball, after that imagine it turning a pure blue or white glow, turn the ball of energy into a flow of something like water but more like energy acting as water flowing up your chosen arm and down to your palm, and here is the difficult part while imagining that, imagin your ankle eminating black energy and let the white energy out of your palm overpowering the black energy and the white energy soaking into your skin, into your muscels, and finaly into your bones, that too might help, i've already taught this techniuqe to a friend of mine and he was amazed.

I like to lay down flat on my back while I'm meditating/attempting to go OOB. It also seems to increase the chances of you entering Sleep Paralysis (and once your in that state, it's easy to leave your body).
