What is the Other Zone?

Hi guys,

I've mentioned this off and on at various message boards.

I just had what seemed like the longest projection ever. It felt like it was 10-20 minutes long. Unfortunately I don't remember a lot about it. I was in some kind of kitchen making something with relatives...perhaps cookies or some kind of baked goods. I believe my Grandma S. was there (who passed away in 1992). I believe my cousin on that side of the family was there, as well.

I also remember trying to look ahead or back in time. I tried looking at my phone number on my cell phone and trying to memorise it. I think I went ahead in time, saw my phone number, and then went back to the space in time that I was in a second earlier and tried to write down/memorise that number. Then I tried to call it, but I didn't remember who I reached, or if I reached anyone at all. I also remember trying to go ahead in time and find that where I was living and what I was doing, to no avail.

I remember doing some flying around like a typical OBE. (read more about it here: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=148751#148751) I also "knew" in my mind that it was an AP and not a lucid dream. When I ran out of energy, I felt myself return to my physical body. I had the rush and everything. I also remember slowly passing through some solid matter afterward, but I don't remember if I was in the RTZ or if I felt myself merging myself with my body. However I remember the sensation clearly! I was thinking to myself "passing though solid matter feels 'soft'". I was purposely trying to do it slowly so I could get more comfortable with the feeling.

I "woke up" from the projection in a dream that took place in my Grandmas S's house. After dream went on for a bit, I woke up for real.

To get to the point, I know inside my head I had a projection, yet it was not in the wispy astral plane we are familiar with, nor was it the RTZ. Rather, it was some place inbetween. Furthermore, I know it wasn't a lucid dream, because I had the conscious return to my body, as well as just "knowing" in my mind that it was real!

What is this "Other Zone" ??

Kind of a cross between an OBE and a dream? Or just a less "real" seeming OBE? My impression was that these experiences take place on a certain space in the astral, but perhaps I was wrong.

If I recall correctly, RB said that the different planes/spaces of the astral are different levels of consciousness, and not an actual set of coordinates. Therefore the "Other Zone" could be section of the astral just beyond the RTZ, where the "physics" are like the RTZ, but thought-comes-emotion-comes your surroundings. Perhaps the cross between the dream mind and the astral state of mind is what's needed to enter this space of the astral.

Thoughts on this theory? (A cross between yours and mine I suppose)...
