At what stages of the night does rem sleep occur? I am wanting to know so i know when to play my 'Become Lucid' mp3 :)

During sleep, people typically experience different periods of REM sleep, the longer periods tending to occur toward the end of the sleep cycle.  So people have REM sleep more than for just one time a night.  To answer your question the longer REM periods of sleep happen after you have been sleeping for a while, so if you sleep for 8 hours i would set it at about the 5 or 6 hour mark.

As stated above, REM sleep happens at differnt times throughout the night, but usually it's more prevalent at the third and seventh hours, or, at the last part of the two four hour cycles.  That's why you usually wake a little after four hours and then after eight (more or less, depending on your specific case, some people sleep more or less.
