Lysear

sounds interesting, are you in a sort of trance state?

I've had lots of ewperience with that, my friend....and I can tell you that it's frustrating, to say the least.

Here is what I do.  If I can't see but I know that I am projected somewhere near my physical body, I simply move as far away from it as I can.  Usually, this means I walk/crawl towards my bedroom door, and once I get out in the hall, my vision slowly starts to kick in.

If it doesn't, I do a couple of things (after I get away from the physical body).

1) I DEMAND clarity.  I simply make a strong mental intention to see, and BELIEVE that my request is being granted.  Heck, you can even use your imagination and imagine that you're putting on "magic goggles" or something, and just the motion of putting them on your eyes can trigger your sight to come into view.

I did this once when I started to fly down the street.  I was flying very sloppily and erratically (like a 12 year old who just jumped behind the wheel of a car!)  At that moment, I *imagined" I had some rocket powered boots on, which would steady my flight path and give me more control.  Sure enough, I instantly got control!  So don't underestimate your mind and it's ability to trigger some of these natural astral reflexes!

2) If I still can't see, I take a few deep astral breaths.  With each breath, I literally feel a sense of energy course through my astral body, and I become more engulfed in the experience.  My consciousness strengthens and my vision becomes almost crystal clear.

Lately, in the last few projections, I've found myself floating in a black void, with no sense of my body or surroundings anywhere.  To me honest, this is the most difficult place for me to be, because I find it hard to leave this black void without losing control.

So what I've done on a number of occasions is to IMAGINE that while in this void, I grab onto something.  For example, last week when this happened, I imagined that I grabbed a handful of grass or weeds.  I started to flail my hands around in this void, groping for those weeds.  Sure enough, I grabbed something, and this gave me something to now focus on.

Then, I simply held onto them, and my vision came to me, allowing me to see that I was under some grassy overpass.

However, as I mentioned this is difficult for me to do sometimes.  Just two days ago, I laid down for a nap and decided to project.  I again found myself in this void, but this time, I decided to try something different.  I decided to wait for an astral scene or something to emerge in my field of vision (like Frank usually does).  I even tried waiting for colors or something to appear, but I got nothing.  I slowly lost control and ended up sitting up in my bed, somewhat frustrated but happy nonetheless for the experience.

So you see, we're all learning here, and sometimes, a lot of trial by error must take place in order for us to strengthen and help others.  http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0>

Thanks for the advice,

Am I in a trance?  I guess so if I've projected somewhat usefully.  Actually this morning I projected and headed for my door and walked through asking for my vision has I have done before to no avail.  This time it worked but my vision was somewhat blurry.  I thought that I should keep it short and head back to my body so I did, wanting to see it.  I head back seeing my open door (not remembering that my door was actually closed).  But I stop and turn into my sleeping grandmother's room thinking to see her in a dream state of something (yeah I know but I was curious), I stand in front of her bed and her eyes open.  I then apologize for waking her and start having a conversation with a man about a monkey (I'm slipping into a dream), it wasn't until I mentioned to this man my morning projection that I made myself wake up in a hurry so I could write it down, realizing I would have lost the entire experience to lost memory.

I also dream about not being able to see in the same fashion.  I like the goggle idea.

Looks like you're making progress then, my friend.  As you have now seen, sometimes getting away from your physical body is enough to kick in the vision reflex.  Next time you do that and it's blurry, just remain calm, take a few deep breaths, and watch as the blurriness clears up!

I am currently in the sleep deprivation method for OBE success.  So it's been touch and go.  I'm trying to break this.  However my last couple of times, I can never see anything around me.  It's like I still have the covers over my head, I can actually feel them as I am pulling them off, but they stay there like an infinitely long bed sheet.  Know what I mean?  I ask for my vision but I never get it, just one time did it work, but my vision opened to a dream and not my room.  The thing is, even though I can't see what around me, I know exactly where I am in my room and can even feel the walls around me.
