Hello everybody!
First of all, this is my first post here so please have patience if I ask something that has already been answered in another thread.
I've managed to astral project (or OBE) only a couple of times and it always happens after I have a lucid dream.

The thing is, my Projections are extremely short (in terms of time). When i start to project i get very excited (Cause it's all very new and i almost cant believe its REALLY happening). Then, when i manage to calm myself down and gain some control, and try to leave my house (through the window/ceiling), I get stuck - i just can't walk/fly through it. While struggling with the wall, i always lose control and wake up.

My question is, Do you have tips/advices/methods for how to move through walls?
I'd really like to explore other places than my apartment  :-D

Thank you!

Ignazio

Yes, A great tip you should know to going through walls is that you should never think that it's impossible to go through it. Your habits in the physical world is that.... Nahh, it's impossible going through that wall, so when you project you'll think the same. Thus not letting you have that confidence to actually go through it.
Hope this one helped, post if you succeeded it.

You have to learn to teleport from one side of the wall to the other, otherwise you will experience reality fluctuations.

Sounds interesting.
How do i that? By visualising the other side or something like that? And if so, what do i do when i don't know how the other side of the wall looks like?

kurtykurt42

Well.. You estimate the thickness of the wall and then just use your thoughts to teleport to the other side. For example if you are trying to get out of your house, just teleport about 20 feet past the wall so you make sure you end up outside. Just trust your instincts.

Interesting, I'll try this out when the chance arises. I can never go through walls either. On this realm it feels strangely physical as well everything i touch. So i dont want to really dive into a wall and suffer direct consequences XD

Just gently put your energy arm on the wall and push.  There's no need to punch it or try to slam yourself into it.  If you've projected it should feel solid but when pushing, it should give, as if your hand was made of jello or plasma.
I've only had problems going through walls once, and I was flying when it happened (it bounced me off it) so there was no doubt I wasn't in-body, so to speak.
Weirdly, that time, I was in the RTZ (not the astral) and I had verification of what I saw, so go figure.

My thought is that even doing something as you say "teleporting" the wall implies too much of a limitation. Just think beyond the wall.  If you have a goal in mind, concentrate on that goal, and you will not even perceive the wall.

Thanks allot for all the tips guys!

This is so exciting! even in my wildest dreams i never thought that such an amazing thing could happen to me.

I hope I'll remember your advices next time i project and promiss to report back with the results. (though it might take some time 'cause my projections are not exactly constant  :-D )

If anyone has anything else to share with a newbie such as myself, you're more than welcome.

I found this in another thread, perhaps also a thing to try out?  :-)

Quote6 - Ever learned special tricks to be used there?
a: Yes, some very useful ones. In a lucid dream a person once told me to make the sound 'tssss' with my tongue in order to go through solid objects, and it worked! It kinda turned my body into a gas, which allowed me to walk through walls many times. I was really glad to hear that it worked for other people too.

I had a really clear lucid dream the other night where I was trying to turn it into a full blown astral projection by passing through a movie screen I came across.

... I took a flying leap at it and BAM, hit the wall the screen was against.  >_<
*FAIL!*  LOL

I guess I should try the more subtle approach that CFT suggests.  :)

One trick that works for me is to walk backwards into a wall. The habitual resistance is not there as you don't know where the wall is. You will be on the other side without noticing the solidity of the wall.

Mind over matter..Literally. The wall may feel "dense" as you pass through it but if you dont think of it as being as a wall, you will pass right through it.

Why not just open the door and walk out? lol
I still have trouble going through walls so I just dont try it that often

Gbob

Lol to opening the door and walk out!

If it's any consolation I think it's quite a common problem. I have it ALL the time. I've only managed to effectively walk through a wall once or twice. Normally I run into doors and I crash into it...I also physically feel some of the pain too! Though not as much as I would if I were doing it in the physical world.

Asi911

I thought about leaving an open window..  Too bad its winter and I'll freeze my butt off.

Xanth

Pfft... doors are for newbs.  ;)

Hey Xanth, that was your 500th, so your T-shirt is in the mail... :)

Lol you don't really have to leave a window open in the physical. And I was being serious, you can easily open a door in the non physical or in your case open a window. Your mind is much more used to doing these sorts of things rather then going through a wall. So when your OBE and try to go through a wall your mind says, wait I can't go through a wall making it solid in order to keep things "normal"

So I garuentee you if you try and open a door or open a window to go outside you'll be successful.

And lol at this being for noobs oh well it makes it easier to get outside lol whenever i try and go through walls i end up smashing my head on it instead of going through it

I was entirely joking about the newb part.  ;)
I guess sarcasm doesn't come across too well in type.  lol

I just open my mind.Like others said your mind is used to the physical world and going trough walls seems impossible.
So open your tense mind when you project the possibilities are endless.

Wow this thing happened to me too.I was at the country side and i projected and i was floating trough the air as I wished etc.. and then i wished to go trough the wall.

But when i passed trough the wall the wall seemed very long and somehow endless because i wanted to go to my home so i managed to "teleport" and exit trough my home lobby wall.

And the RTZ part was confirmed by my mom too because my mom was at my home when i projected and when she come back at the country side I asked her.At my home it was very cloudy and a little dark and i could of saw some of my mothers books in the exact position where they were when i asked her.
And it was a little messy in my room when I entered it  :-) .

Hello again all!
It has been a while since the last time i OBEd and finally this morning it happend again.
I tried to remember all the methods and tricks you mentioned earlier in this thread so i can accomplish them on my next obe.

First i had a lucid dream, then i woke up in SP and exited to an OBE (BTW - This is the first time i manage to exit to an OBE from SP and not just wake up).

What happend in practice is that once i OBEd, i flew straight to the window diving into it in great speed. I felt resistance and it reminded me that i can't go through walls just like that and I'll have to use a method. First thing that came up to my mind was kurtykurts42's methoed. I estimated the distance to the other side and ZOOM, i went through! only it wasn't the other side! i found myself flying over what seems like a fancy neighbourhood where all the houses we lit in different colors. At this point, I've lost control, and got sucked back into my body. waking up, lying on my side.

I should have mentioned that I have only had success with this method while in the RTZ and not in any other dimensional plane.

While in different dimensional planes, I find this instantaneous method usually projects you straight into a subjective location created by the visualization of your target. You may appear to be at your destination but you will usually find many discrepancies between the real location and where you are.

Although, in your case it would seem that you were in the RTZ but you may have shot into the astral plane while going through the window. It will take a bit a practice until the method is mastered.
