Someone mentioned in another thread that while experince may feel real
while having an actual OBE,but when when you're finish having OBE the memory of it will be more or less dreamlike and distant.
I know time and practice will improve ones recollection of an OBE , but is it possible to train your mind to such degree so that memory of OBE won't be in any way less vivid and powerful as anything you remember from this ( physical ) world ?
If possible , are any of you guys capable of such a vivid OBE recollection ?

thank you

Hello Kajalove

I can understand where you are coming from, as I have experienced this my self, I do notice that the more you project the more its gets better, in the mean time, while AP, keep making commentary on your environment, the key i found it to keep your consciousness sharp and focused as a laser as much as possible, so keep running commentary in your mind, eg: OK now, I'm walking down the stars..keep focus, keep focus!" another trick that Robert Bruce recommends is to look at your hands just momentarily, this causes a bit of a energy shock to your ph body.

It's like I could have an OBE an be in my living room, and two minutes from then(after I came back to my body) and I could go to my living room but instead of it seeming like you were just there it seems distant.

Marcolous gave different impression.I imagine he meant it's like with dreams(even lucid ones )...perhaps you remember them to the last detail , but it still doesn't feel as if you actually experienced any of it , but instead more like you read a book about those experiences and memorized them

Or perhaps I totally misunderstood him :)

Quote from: MajorTomThat's not entirely the case. The memory can be registered as fully as any other memory if the experience was lucid, but if going back to sleep immediately afterwards for example, it may slip away easily.

I am an insomniac (overactive mind is the cause), and need pills (sedatives) to go to sleep. Because of this, I am set at a pattern of sleeping at around 11:00 PM and waking at around 6:00 AM (the time my alarm clock is set for). Sometimes, however, I wake up a half hour to an hour before my wake-up time (5:30 AM to 5:00 AM), remembering either oblivion or fragments of a dream I know were much larger when sleeping (they are rather bizarre dreams too). Sometimes I even fall asleep again before the alarm goes on again! So, does this mean I have a long OBE (6 hours or so), or is it possible to wake up and fall asleep without any recollection? I'm not quite an "OBE'r" yet, but if dreams have anything to do with OBE (I think it does, somewhat), then it'll be to consider, I think.

No, it feels more real than that. You don't have to train for it other than have an OBE.

So  memory on OBE feels as real as memory of anything it happened to you in real life ?

And Tom,you keep mentioning FAQ,but only FAQ I found on this site is about login troubles and the like

DarkQuest

I think the FAQ that Tom means is the "Welcome to the Astral FAQ" in the same category that this OBE discussions is put in.  (Astral Projection and Out of Body Experiences).  I also recommend checking it out, there's lots of useful information to help understand more about the astral.  i know its helped my knowledge of it.
