I had a lucid dream whilst on holiday about a week ago. I tried to allow the dream scenery to fade but it didn't really work :( Anymore suggestions?
For me works:
* At the moment you know you're dreaming, and wish to OBE, start flying upwards. Try to do it as fast as you can and say out lout "I want to project now". Then your dream will end and you will feel your physical body in vibra state, just use any exit technique and you're in RTZ.
* At the moment you know you're dreaming, and wish to OBE, just sit on the ground or anywhere you like and start meditate, like you always do when you want to project,...imagine those vibrations and soon dream will ends and your physical body will bi in vibra state, now use any exit technique and you're in RTZ.

For some reason I can't fly in my lucid dreams, I sort of float for a few seconds and then fall back onto the ground. I've tried the 'I want to project now' but nothing seems to happen, the scenery doesn't change.
I did precisely that in my lucid dream whilst on holiday! I sat down and meditated against a wall and somehow was drawn into the wall. Whilst meditating I think I vaguely remember a slightly falling sensation within myself. Shortly after I 'woke up' in a random spot very close to where I meditated and repeated the process and the same thing happened. I'm not sure if I had an obe as I tried hitting a door handle with my hands and it was rock solid. Also I couldn't fly at all, I had to walk everywhere.
I get very confused as to if I'm in a lucid dream or an obe half the time :?
That sounds like an OBE to me. Did you feel any vibs when you meditate? It's ok if you don't coz some people don't feel them. Tell me this, have you ever woke up in your dream and become lucid, not from meditative state? Only then you should try AP form lucid dream.
Yeah.. need lucidity first.
This morning I entered a LD and simply decided my exit strategy was to "sit up"..
It was that easy and I was out albeit for only a few moments.. I did need to go back to my body a few more times where eventually I rolled out of bed and onto the floor..
I think i've been analysing the whole process too much.. It seems when in the right state this process may be easier than i imagined..
The LD seems a good place from which to enter the required state..
Here's a link to my first OBE which i had today :-D :-) 8-):

Yes I felt vibrations, I think I can call them vibrations. I felt like it was working, like I was about to AP but I just ended up waking up in a random spot on the floor.
Have I ever woken up in a dream and become lucid, not from meditative state? I don't quite understand what you mean. I don't really meditate to AP, I normally try to do it through a lucid dream. But in this lucid dream described, I meditated within the lucid dream.

If you can't fly in lucid dreams then go through a window or a door, or run/jump through either or a mirror. Do anything that causes you to fall and wait to feel vibrations.
Or, when lucid, try to think of yourself in bed (but don't open your eyes for anything). Then wait for vibrations, and try a 'classic' exit technique, as if you were trying to OBE from trance.

I just had another lucid dream this morning and tried to walk through a door. It was rock solid. I mentally told myself that I could do it but it just didn't happen. I then opened a random door which opened out to the skies. I jumped out and fell through the clouds which made me wake up from bed :(
Hmm that's a new one for me to try. If I don't open my eyes will I not wake up from the dream then?
Most likely you will wake up from the dream, but will still be in trance (or close enough) to then go back to your trance and try some energy loosening or exit techniques. If you're stubborn enough to refuse to open your eyes or move you will eventually get some sort of exit symptom (more than likely vibrations) and attempt an OBE exit, which will take you to the RTZ.

I actually had another lucid dream this morning lol, they just keep on coming. Basically I realized I was dreaming, tried to walk through a door...and again I couldn't so I had to open it. Went out of the house. I then decided to try out the falling backwards method again so I fell backwards and this caused me to wake up from the dream. I kept very still and didn't open my eyes, attempting exit methods (I couldn't remember many as I hadn't done this in a long time so I made some up). It seemed like ages and nothing happened. There were some vibrations but not as intense as some of the ones I used to have, and they would come and go too (I was a little excited but not too much that it might have interrupted the process). I do admit that I did feel heavier but every time I used to attempt projection in the past I would feel very heavy but nothing would happen. Eventually I gave up and went back to sleep.
I really dislike attempting to project consciously. Do you know of any methods to convert a LD to an AP whilst in a lucid dream as it never seems to work when I try to do it consciously when awake?
After you gained lucidity ie. knowing you are dreaming and physically asleep on your bed or whereever.
Try doing your exit techniques directly from the dream. Don't do them with your dream body. Think about your astral body close to your physical and transfer the technique into the astral body while dreaming.. if you can understand that..
This is what i did to have my first OBE and i transitioned from the LD to the body with vibrations and out very quickly.. i'd say less than 5 sec & it was so smooth and easy i could hardly believe it..
I do believe practicing trance etc while conscious helps though.. as it trains you up to expect the experience and in the above case it probably helped me in the transition phase.. it also helped me keep my focus during the experience when i needed to perform exit techniques again later to get out completely...

Wow that sounds quite a tricky concept but I'll definitely try it out! I will just give starting/concentrating on an object in my lucid dreams one more try before I do this one, as many people have suggested that method in the past.
