Try skipping all the practical exercises the first time you read it. This cuts out approx half the book....it also leaves a lot of intriguing reading.

Afterwards, go back and slowly work through the energy exercises, maybe a page or 2 a day. You can always refer back to the later parts of the book if you need to.

As the chapters on energy work are quite intense, you might need to grab hold of another book as "light reading" for accompaniment. e.g a monroe book, to keep you interested in the subject at hand.

enjoy !

The book is overall very interesting! I would actually advise to read a quick summary or some articles on this site to get an idea of it is about first. For me it was very helpful to do the exercises as I read the book, about each day a new one. Afterwards, you can come back to each of them. Important thing is that you have to practice systematically to have a reasonable progress. Motivation and belief in these things are a great deal as well! But I am sure you've got that :-)
I would also repeat RB and say that one shouldn't rush things: you can really hurt yourself. I heard a story about a guy who got crazy after overstimulating one if his chakras (He didn't use N.E.W. I think). Another important thing is to observe every change that you feel and fit all exercises appropriately: always listen to yourself!
Good luck!!!

Ok before I start, want to just say I have not finished the book, and from what I have read I do like it...but I am looking for advice from others that have read the book and followed the instructions in it.

Reading the book, I find it increadably hard to follow at first and end up re-reading parts of the books (especially energy work).

This is probably not a fault of the author - more like I am just not getting the idea the first time.

What I am wondering is....

1. Should I read the entire book before starting the methods in it?

2. How effective have you found the methods?

3. What are some realistic goals for beginners?

4. Any other hints / tips you can give are welcome.

Personally the methods I have tried (from the book) are very powerfull. But I get to a point where I kind of lay there and say to myself "ok now what".

The only issue I have with the book - it seems to dive right into the deep ends of energy work without explaining why it is needed until midway through the book - like I said probably not the authors fault.

If anyone is interested - (from what I have read), this book is a "must read" - it really takes a refreshingly different approach to the subject.
