sorry if i posted in the wrong section,im a bit new,not to  project, to this forum lol!ok,so what you do is hold still, like your going asleep but keep your consoiuse awake. focus on your breaths, count them,or focus on a sound you here in your room,or the ring in the back of your head. you will then enter sleep paralysis after a while etc 20-30 minutes.while in sleep paralyisis you just relax focus on keeping the same patern of breath,or ignore it and just sleep breath. after a while etc 15-20 minutes, you will feel vibrations, ignore them and just relax and keep focusing, after the vibrations end etc 20-15 minutes, youll hit the quiet zone. then you just have to seperate using a roll out or reach your astral hands and grab somthing to pull you out. its basicly holding still and letting your body fall asleep. like when your in sleep paralyisis, you will be able to see, ignore this as in all sleep paralysis occasions, you can see through your eyelids,im sure most of you have had it where you wake up and cant move :P, thats all you need to do,practicing it for about a week to a month depends,it took me a week, but the first three days i just fell asleep.and if you ever woke up in sleep paralysis just start off where i said what you do in sleep paralyisis. good luck to all! -mike ps.tell me your progress or if it was good!

Hello there mikael.

I'm not sure what was the point of your post.. was it meant as a guide, as I understood it, or was there any response you were trying to get from people?

As the overall process goes, that's one way of doing it. It seems to me that you take a lot of time in every step of the process.. taking around an hour or so to achieve projection. Which is quite a long time, too long perhaps for most to stay awake. And as for stages, what you describe as sleep paralysis I would say is rather a trance state. Sleep paralysis occurs, As I have understood it, when you already have left your body, thus can't you can't project from sleep paralysis unless your astral body returns to body to re-project first. I'm not quite sure if this is accurate, but in my case, I have never been able to project from what I would call sleep paralysis, which seems to give some confirmation to this.

But still, it really doesn't matter if it's called trance or waking paralysis, the point is that there is an altered state where your body feels different.. quite dead actually, although you can break a trance whenever you feel like it, though it may take a bit effort to more a limb.

There are some techniques to speeden the process, which might be useful to you and others. One being silencing the mind. You seem to achieve it by counting your breaths and listening the ringing of your head, which is just fine. But just silencing yourself, doing nothing may prove to be faster for some, although this takes more practise at first.

The easiest method of projection is just keeping your awareness outside of your body. First relax all your muscles, take couple deep breaths, settle in. Then move your point of awareness outside your body by bouncing it off the wall, or spinning it around your room and trying to feel YOU being there as you do this and all the things related to projection will happen naturally. Even more effective is if you can feel yourself being in a body in different place then you are, say just laying in your bed, but heading different direction than you actually are.. this seems to induce projection very quickly, but it is very very difficult, at least for me, to get in this state on purpose. I've done this accidentally a few times, when I've tried to project from my bed, laying down the different way I'm used to sleep.. so because I'm accustomed to laying the different way my memory/subconscious/whatever seems to flick me around when I forget that I'm laying there. It may be hard for me, but some of you may be natural with this and achieve very fast projections with this method.

All in all, your way of doing it is just fine! Furthermore, if it works for you, don't fix it. Of course you may want to try different methods too to check if some of those would work even better for you. As for the guide, it's one way of doing it, as I said.. and there are many others. None of these is an ultimate technique, they are just different as are people. Which works for one, doesn't work all that well for another, so knowledge is power here. Try out many different techniques and keep the ones which give you best results. ;)

Definitely looks like a "how-to".
