Ok, this is frustrating. I was on here a few months ago giving advice. Now I feel like I've taken steps backwards with my abilities. I'm not new at OBE's, and up until a few months ago I had no problem "seeing" or moving around. Now, everytime I leave I can't see a thing! I keep getting advice- "say clarity now" or "I can see"....ok that isn't working. Any other advice? It's like I'm just floating off in space, and I can't tell where I am at or going. Any help/ advice would be much appreciated. [/color]

I haven't projected a lot and I am not great at it, but when this happens to me I treat my astral body like i treat my physical body. Take your astral hand and use it to push your astral eye lids open as if you were still in the physical world. It usually works for me.

Spend more time focusing your attention on your third eye chakra.

Have you considered that maybe you are just projecting into a void?
There are such "void" spaces described by people.
Apparently moving between certain focus states some people, namely Frank (search for him on the site here), says that you'll go through a void area first.  Perhaps you're just projecting directly into it?

If this is the case, then no amount of demanding sight will do you any good.  Try to move to a different 'area'?

Thanks! Sounds like good advice. I never really thought I might be just in a void- and it feels like it's just darkness that's infinite when I project, and I end up just coming back.

If you are in a void you should feel like you are floating. But if there is solid ground under your feet there are things you can do.
A good way to help astral sight to develop is to concentrate on small close-up details in your environment rather than the big picture. Find a wall or crouch down and examine the ground and you will usually find that you can at least see things like cracks, small stones etc.  Move quickly from one detail to the next, examining each one briefly and feeling any textures with your hands/fingers. The sense of touch also helps the visuals to develop. Try to bring each small detail into sharp focus. The visual sense should quickly develop as you do this and you will find you can begin to see objects which are further away. Once you reach this point, no more effort should be needed and full sight should follow automatically.
