i don't know what exactly an astral body would be made out of (astral material obviously), but if it was atoms then it wouldn't be astral, it would be physical.

The Astral body, like everything else in the universe is all spheres is made of energy, comprisng the elements, the composition and patterns of which make each individual unique. Once a person has satiated all desires in the Astral worlds, the Astral body dissolves back into its constituent elements, and the Mental body transitions to the Mental planes.
Atoms and molecules are only described in the physical, material world, but the quantum sciences are now finally realising that these are an illusion perceived by the limitations of the five physical senses, and that even atoms and molecules are energy, but at a higher density and lower vibration than the higher realms.
The physical and Astral bodies are temporal, only the Mental body, the Spirit is immortal, and made in the image of "God".
