The fear comes from the fact that when i'm on a plane the experience is as real as waking life.  I just have a natural fear that I am going to get stuck there.  I don't mind visiting but to get stuck there worries me.  The Astral just takes time to get use to.  The mental command "Wake UP" has always worked to bring me right to an awake state.  I think one of my fears is that it won't work one time. [8D]

This reminds me of when I had my first (and only) concious OBE.

I was in the study looking at my computer, with a mysty aura around my vision, and I could hear hundreds and hundreds of kids laughing. I was either scared that they were laughing at me or embarassed and I ended up in my body after only a few seconds, unfortunatly.

Either way it was spooky for some silly reason []

Has anyone ever not been lucid in a dream and had someone come up to them in a dream and tell them to become lucid.  I had a vivid dream recently where I was on a fishing pier. There was a man standing nearby fishing.  As I tried to start up a conversation he ignored me.  I thought to myself he was a jerk. I went back to my own business. Just after that he says "hay buddy would you do me a favor and watch my fishing rod".  I took his rod and he walked away.  Well just after that I hooked a huge fish.  I am struggeling like crazy to reel it in.  He comes back and says " Forget that fish" I said no lets get it in. He says "forget the fish, there is something you have been wanting me to show you for awhile, follow me." I become Lucid and follow him into a building and down a hall to a large wood door.  There is a open window about waist level.  I small girl appears. I say "Hay little girl where is your mommy" ? She says she is not here but that she is not alone.  Then six other children appear.  At this point I relize this is not a dream and become scared and wake up.I think sometimes these events are created by our subconscience but other times they are external by people in the Astral Planes. Who could the man be? The children must have been deceased.
