Hello All

This was good for me because I feel I am learning.  Even from my RTZ OBEs (which I don't have as much these days).  Normally, I find them frustrating, brief and somewhat pointless.  However, I was once told that every experience has its meaning...

Early this morning I awoke to the sensation of me lying in bed totally relaxed.  I just *knew* I was there.

What I did was slowed down everything, so I could concentrate on it and report back.

I relaxed.  My first lesson was the level of relaxation.  I kept coming back up to full physical consciousness.  I must have done this 7 or 8 times during the course of the whole experience, which is unusual - my RTZ OBEs normally give me 3 or 4 shots at it.

Anyway, I relaxed even more, and I realised that I was relaxing my "second" body as much as my physical one.  This was a novel experience, at least consciously.  I knew that I was probably 80% 'astral' but rather than try and get out, I relaxed.  I even said to myself at the time, "loose and limp, like a rag doll" (Frank - where are you?  Thanks!)

Once I'd relaxed to the point of merging with the environment (don't ask me to explain that, you'll know what I mean if you've experienced it) - I found I was already no longer fully part of the physical.  I was swaying and moving away.

I had the usual "blindness" knowing that if I opened my eyes, my physical eyes would open and I'd blow it.  As per usual, I didn't worry about it and moved away.

I found myself in my flat, but it wasn't my flat (but it was a flat) - typical RTZ stuff.  As I got to the door of my bedroom, I realised I could see, fully.  I saw a green and orange patterned carpet, and I noted this.

My lesson was that I never need concern myself with blindness again - it will come when I stop focusing on it.  This has taken me 3 years to reach this point...

I stood in the room, wondering what to do to make the most of my time.  I was very lucid.  I decided to stay in F2.  But to create portals and see what happened when I went through them VERY slowly.

Firstly, I put my head through the door.  I lost it and came back to full consciousness.  Relaxed again and became 'astral'.  Got back to an empty room and...

decided to spin around really quickly to see what would happen.  I lost it, came back, relaxed again, became astral.  Got back to an empty room and ...

decided to make a circle with my finger, going round and round, creating an astral 'hole' to go through.  I started to step through my self-created portal, lost it, came back to full consciousness and knew that was it.

Damn damn damn.

My next big learning curve is travel.  Probably take me another 3 years.  :drive:

Cool report. I know exactly how you feel. Its so hard to keep a straight mind when your in that environment. I cant even put my head through my bedroom window or il just go black. but if i stay in my room i find my experience will last much longer.

Aw, cmon, dont say that. Or it WILL take 3 years ;)

Maybe the hole you created was a vortex to return to your physical body. That could happen im sure.

The Present Moment

Quote from: SelskiFirstly, I put my head through the door.  I lost it and came back to full consciousness.
I've had this happen in LDs. What solved it was having an expectation of what I'd find on the other side.

Monroe has a few journal entries in Journeys where he experiments with a vortex by sticking his hand through it:

"Carefully, I reached a hand through into the blackness. I was astounded when a hand took mine and shook it! It felt like a human hand, normally warm to the touch. After the handshake, I withdrew my hand quickly. Slowly, 1 reached into the hole again. The hand shook mine again, and placed a card in it."

LOL!  You're quite right of course!!

Quote from: The Present MomentWhat solved it was having an expectation of what I'd find on the other side.

That's interesting.  I found that having an expectation scuppered me in the past because the environment invariably didn't match my expectation, rendering me confused and with that confusion... zap.

However, having no expectation has the same effect for me, LOL!

I'll have to work on it and play around - see what I come up with.
