Title: Astral matter vs Physical matter
Post by: Isador on January 16, 2015, 08:53:31
Hi everyone,

I know that, during an astral projection, you are able to walk through physical walls with your astral body, but are we able to walk through buildings/walls made of astral matter?
This has just caught my curiosity, since in our physical bodies we cannot walk through physical matter, but our physical bodies are walking through astral matter right now (we just can't see it). So since our astral bodies can walk/fly through physical structures, is it correct to say that our astral bodies could not walk through astral structures since we are made of the same energy?

Also, is there a difference between 'Astral' and 'Etheric' projections? I've seen people use the term 'etheric' sometimes in place of astral but I don't know if it means anything different from astral.

One more question I have is: when you're in an astral projection, does it feel as real as physical life does? Would you feel as if physical life is just a normal dream while you are in an astral reality? After my astral projection a couple months ago, my memory of it now feels similar to a dream, but at the time it felt like the most real thing ever, unlike any regular dream.

Thank you!

Astral matter has no physicality. It is an idea. When you really get down to it, the physical reality we have now is really basically just ideas, but don't think about that yet.

It will be solid if you expect it to be, and otherwise if that is what you think. It is real all the same, but not in the way it may appear.

"Astral" and "etheric" are basically synonyms to me. I have seen them used as though they described separate phenomena, but I am convinced the distinction only exists as a status symbol for some practitioners to place their acheivements over those of others.

As for the last question... experiences vary. Some people tend to have hazy experiences, for others it is hyper-reality... more lucid than here.

But try to stay away from expectations  and labels. They aren't going to inform you much.

I'll answer from my own perspective... you'll need to eventually find your own answers on this though.

Stillwater touched on this, but I view this physical reality as just another non-physical reality.  When you begin to project, you'll quickly figure out that the terms "physical" and "non-physical" are horrible to define experiences.  When you're projecting whatever you're experiencing feels every bit as physical as this physical reality.  That makes those two labels simply a matter of perspective or a point of view relative to what/where you're currently experiencing.

I've found that realities all tend to have their own set of "rules"... some you can fly in, some you can't.  Some you can walk through walls, some you can't.  To me, it's on a per reality basis.

No difference.  These are meaningless labels people love to give to their experiences because they simply don't understand what's going on.

Yes.  In every way conceivable.  I spend a lot of my non-physical time experimenting with the "realness" of the experience compared to my physical reality experience... and I've found, literally, no difference in the feelings.  Walls feel like walls...  trees feel like trees... etc... :)
