When you are summoned, you can appear Out Of Body.  If you are summoned, it is usually by someone with enough connectivity to pull you directly into their astral space.
Practices of divinitation are associated with this type of Out Of Body Experience.  Normally, an OBE which is produced by a direct summons will last only for a few minutes, and will involve travel between multiple locations at once.
If you are summoned, it is usually for a specific task, which means that you are temporarily enchanted with Divinity and sent via Enmity to the Genesis of your enemy, or, the cause of the problem.  After this, you return to reality with a minor enchantment and gain a new magnitude of soul power.
These types of OBEs are not as common as they used to be, yet some people are summoned regularily to certain specific spaces of the astral.  You can also will yourself to go somewhere, in which case, you gain full ability as a planeswalker.
