Hello,

This writer named: Nick Newport tells on his website, lucidology.com, that vibrations eventually stop for people who get somewhat advanced with OBE's. He said the reason they happen in the begging is a result of "blocks" in the energy body getting cleared out.

I myself would say it sounds basically like cleaning; when you first scrub a dirty surface with a sponge, its tough and produces a little friction, but after a while it gets clean and smooths out.

What do you guys think of his idea?

I asked a spirit who was knowledgable about such things about it. He said it's the difference in frequency that causes the vibration just as  in sound waves. Different sound waves together will create vibrato and the rate of the vibrato will change with the difference in pitch.  You learn to change your pitch then the vibration decreases. I think what actually happens is you develop a new habitual pitch or that you change it automatically and quickly so that you don't notice it. Once your pitch matches what you want to do you become aware of the " there"

I noticed that angels caused a strong vibration different from another human spirit.

So if someone doesn't get or ever had vibrations in their early days, what's that about?
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

I believe as we move deeper inwards or "up" a level, our frequency is always changing to meet that new level that has been acquired.

I think the strength of the vibrations have to do more with how "aware" you allow your mind to stay on your physical body. If you are deep in a good NP focus, you shouldn't feel anything bodily at all, other than your "Etheric body" movements that is. Those can confuse you though.

Maybe that lucidology.com idea is a bit off, huh? If someone wants to hit trance and will something on like vibrations, waves, energy streams, etc. then its their call. Is this necessary for LD's, no. Does it feel nice, maybe.

I think a lot authors put too much emphasis on the vibrations because they want to create shock value for their audience. I'm not saying a meditator couldn't utilize "vibrations" as a concentration point to activate the unconscious, but setting them as a definite goal for OBE's is silly and counterproductive. A more realistic goal would be finding a little sphere of subtle etheric energy and tracing its rhythm about for a short while.

I like your last comment DS.
It would be like getting off the train home a couple of stops before you need to.
Vibrations are not necessary at all.
When forced to appear they really slow the exit routine too much.

I don't agree that they do it merely for "shock value". They do it because it is one of the most noticeable and reliable "signposts" of an upcoming OBE.

They don't use it as a goal to reach. They treat it more as an experience you "may" have along the way. In other words, something to be aware of.
