Hi everyone!!

Have you ever seen a lucid dream and in between realized that you are APing?
This happened to me last night...I had a lucid dream and suddenly my consciousness level seemed to change in the midst of it and then i realized that i was APing! It was pretty interesting!
Another interesting thing that i noticed was that after i woke up i didnt seem to remember much about the lucid dream, but i do remember each and everything that happened after i realized i was APing!
I found this very interesting because this was the first time that this happened to me...before this i had always projected in the RTZ...but this time i was not aware when i actually get out of the body...A lucid dream and then...BAM...there i was!!  :-D

Cheers!!!

Hello piyal
Yes, this has happened to me several times. Sometimes I become lucid during a dream and then deliberately shift (or phase or transition) into an OBE. And yet sometimes that shift from dream into OBE/AP just happens by itself and suddenly I am aware that it is an OBE.
Why this transition happens on those few rare nights but normally does not take place is a Big mystery. Prior intention, affirmations and current state of mind appear to have absolutely No affect as it just seems to be a random event. It is very exciting when that random dream into OBE event does occur though!

To me they're the same experience.  The 'shift' is a shift in awareness.
Which is exactly what you said when you realized your "consciousness level seemed to change".  You went from what I call a Lucid Awareness, to having an Astral Awareness.

It's a kin to 'waking up' *FULLY* while still in the non-physical.

Very simply put and I completely agree. I am constantly having lucid dreams lately. I have for the longest time had many lucid dreams but this past year I have progressed to being more aware. Now instead of knowing I am dreaming and still being stuck in the story line, I can also manifest things around me and do as I please (most of the time). I recognize these experiences as having an OBE, but I am not fully aware as one usually is when APing through meditation, though I know If I keep concentrating I can have this shift in awareness.

Lots and lots of times this has happened :-) Xanth is right. I might add though one time I was dreaming and I realized it was just a dream. The "dream" faded in front of me like a mist and I immediately was 100% aware in.a sp state and got out of body from there. I hate saying the word dream because I do think its all connected... At times. I had a dream I killed my cat. Now you can't tell me that was a low awareness OBE... That's cr@p. :/ but yeah you will find your conciousness will get more clear and it can happen suddenly  8-)
