The spider was likely a Neg sucking on your brain juice (I mean feeding on your energy body [;)]). Make sure you get rid of it.

Just because one sees a spider it does not mean it is a neg trying to suck one's juices. It is probably like when you wake up in a dream but don't realize it and then suddenly really wake up only to think how you thought the dream was really you waking up. Umm ... in other words you are probably briefly becoming conscious in a dream state (on the astral) but just for a second.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

Hello Overdriven
This may sound like strange, but did you eat something that could have helped inducing this experience [?]
Best wishes Fuzziwig

Hmmm...well I can tell you that I had no drugs, alcohol, or medications.  As far as food...I don't even remember.  I'm starting to think that Fallnangel is 100% correct.

My first OBEs were only 1 to 3 seconds long and at first were only partially out, i.e. I was stuck. I guess I could refer to them as flashes. And the memories were a bit fuzzy, but the actual experiences when they happen were sharp.

For the last few nights I've had some strange occurances. I've been working on keeping my awareness up in order to induce LD when I fall asleep.  2 days ago, I woke up in the morning to see one of my pieces of clothes running across the floor.  Upon shaking my head, I felt like I was really waking up this time and the clothes were where they should be.  Then last night...much more intense.  First I had several dreams where I was almost lucid, but it wasnt very clear.  Its like I controlled what I did in the dream, but it still felt dreamy and not realistic.  Then several times during the night I woke up with strong hallucinations.  One was of a huge spider in my bed.  Another of my girlfriend (who was laying next to me) with her eyes open.  Upon looking again, they were closed!  All these hallucinations last 1 second, then disappear.  I don't even kow if I really woke up during these or if it was all a vivid dream.  Needless to say, it was all very very confusing.  Anyone have these short flashes of hallucination like I describe?
