astral travel laws?

I'm not a dedicated traveler; sure it's great fun but I think you can learn just as much using the two halves of your brain and intuition. I do on occasion leave my body now and then.

Last night I woke up from a nightmare, or I had a creepy feeling, and I went to flip on the light, it wouldnt go on. I 'woke up' again, went for the light, nada. Repeat x2 and rinse, I got agitated about it and decided to become aware and screw around, as a looser award for my failure at turning on the light. I was asleep but made myself aware. I did the rolling thing, did the familiar floating around with my head glued to my skull thing for awhile. Then I grabbed the floor and pulled myself out. I inched myself away from my body, intent on phasing through my window and jumping from the 2nd story to the parking lot. I guess I then went back in my body, unable to take the leap of faith.

My question is, how do you leave your room exactly? How do you go about walking through walls, if such a thing is possible?

Also, I felt groggy as I was going to the window, like I just woke up. Are you normally groggy after leaving your body from a dream?

You just do it... Let go of common sense, which tells you that it's impossible, and just rush through...

There's something about windows though... Lots of reports that going through a window is hard, that you get stuck there, that it's better to go through walls... It happened to me too, I was literally on both sides of the window at the same time, stuck there... I don't know why that is... It's like how you can activate light switches, see them move from off to on, hear the click, but the light (typically) won't turn on... It does seem that there's weird quirks that are common to everyone, but I'm sure a little willpower can make them go away.

As for the groggy feeling, perhaps the reason you became aware in your sleep was because you weren't sleeping well (bad position, bad breathing, etc) and so your projection was cut short because the body wasn't comfortable...

Hi Alaskans,

I too have problems with this groggy feeling when I'm having an obe. I find getting out of the house is the best way to have this feeling go away. always when i exit from my bedroom i have this problem, its like all my senses are diminished, but then soon as I'm outside it always goes away. I usually run as fast as i can to the front door then once I'm on my street i no longer groggy.

As for going threw walls and windows i agree with kiwibonga, just do it!! and let go. A technique i use is i imagine my astral body as a gas or like a plasma and i  can slip threw glass with no problem. You can even imagine a hissing sound kinda like when you push down the button on a cigarette lighter.

hope this helps :-D

It seems to be a belief thing.  If you have any doubts, then you probably won't be able to go through walls, etc.  If you believe, then you can do it.  Personally I find walls harder than windows, windows are easy for me.  When I'm very lucid, then I find it easier.  I think that's because when my mind is clear I am much more convinced of the reality of the situation, and I know that amazing things are possible.  At these times, I often play at pushing my fingers through a wall and watching and seeing how it feels.  Some people have similar problems with flying, but personally I've never exeperienced any problems at all with flying.  For me that is just pure happiness!

Thanks for the info guys. Actually, the day I wrote this post, some conciousness said something concerning me saying how I didnt need to AP. I inquired further and he said that it would help my developement if I projected more. It is a good way to meet astral guides face to face, or so I've heard  :-)

That makes sense to me  :-)

This reminds me of witch orbs, they are glass spheres with intricate patterns inside that are said to confuse and trap spirits.

So I wonder if I was already projecting when I kept trying to turn on the light, the switch was flipping, but no light.

Thanks for the input  :-)

I've run across a few 'astral' laws during my days. . . but mostly for me these apply only to the RTZ.

1) Windows. . . I could go through them, slowly and I taste glass. Go figure. I have in the past bounced off a window or 2 when I first started.

2) If you try to fly through a wall into some place you've never been before. . . you end up in crazyworld.
You think you did it but when you try to 'prove' it later. . . you were in a quasi dream. Now, . . if you can fly under a door or through something that you can see into it with I have found for me that this worked just fine. So I would always leave a path for me to get out of my room/house to the outside world without having to fly through something.

3) Electrical charges repel the energy body. . . By this I mean I have been thrown back by electrical outlets, power lines, and batteries. Including one time when I 'felt' the electrical shock in my arm for days afterwards. So I generally try to avoid them. I AM curious whether this is just a personal quirk or some things that other people have experienced as well?

4) Taste. . . after I project I have found that certain tastes have stuck with me. Each time it is stuff that I have flown through or part way through. These tastes were so profound they stuck with me for days and 3-4 years later I can still recall it whenever I want (although none of them were particularly good)

1.) Carpet
2.) Glass -through a window
3.) A purple Flower.  . . although I never ate the flower to prove I was right.

Thanks,
Wonderboy

What about immoral conduct:

Since I am a male with regaging hormones I tried to manifest hot chicks to well you know what.....
Twice a voice told me to stop doing that (well once it was a voice, the other time it might have been someone standing next to me). Anyway I still continued. The first time hideous manifestations came which were not even alive I think...... and then I woke up. The second time nothing happened I think and I woke up.

So might immoral conduct be forbidden.

P.S
I can't find a better word for immoral... I know what I did wasn't wrong since it was my dream to begin with, just a waste of time in a higher aspect... so it might have been forbidden because of that.

Sex doesn't seem to work with OBE. Theres just something about actions that are purely hedonistic in OBE that isn't allowed. One time i was OBE (although I thought I was still awake, due to the lucidity and feeling of it), and felt extremly stiff. I tried to put my hand through my desk to check if I was OBE, and it just slid off. I came to the conclusion that I wasn't OBE and it immediatly ended. LAter that morning I realized the place I was standing was where my chair is. I was literaly inside my chair. Every time I think its not OBE, it ends. Weired eh?
I'd rather spend my life attempting to make myself happy rather than prevent myself from being unhappy.

I think in cases like this your limited to you mind or subconscious beliefs. If you believe on some level that what your doing is wrong or immoral, your probably going to have problems doing it. But it is possible - just not something you want to spend all your astral time doing.

Once I was kicked out of an AP for being after this girl. Some dude came and grabbed my arm telling me I was wrong. He seemed so superior that I even felt ashamed, but ticked however.

Like Stookie and catmeow said it could have been something about belief, because I wouldn't have approached the girl like that in real life, but hey it was MY experience! lol

I can definitely sense that morals apply to the Astral world, like the saying goes
"All religions are different, because they come from mankind. Morals are the same, because they come from God."
Where does this silence come from?

I actually don't think immoral conduct is forbidden in any way.

I was once shown what I assumed to be one of the "belief-system territories".  It was a kind of "pleasure island" full of people getting all sorts of kicks out of sexual activities.  As I wandered around, I have to say there were bodies all over the place involved in all varieties of sexual activities.  Many people were so wrapped up in their little worlds that they seemed terminally trapped in them.  As I made my tour I was followed by women enthusiastically offering themselves to me, which was tempting, to be honest.  This might sound like a fun place (!) but it was definitely shown to me as a kind of purgatory, where people were trapped by their own desires.  The atmosphere was claustrophobic and in the end I left the island with a sense of relief!

Don't get me wrong, I'm no saint, but it wasn't a place you'd like to get stuck in!

Anyway, I think it was a "belief-system" area of the Astral...

<<My question is, how do you leave your room exactly? How do you go about walking through walls, if such a thing is possible?>>

Keep in mind that you are non-physical, and the wall will present no obstruction. With this understanding, you should pass through with no resistance whatsoever. If you have trouble seeing, move toward the location where you know the wall to be, and vision should improve on the other side. Better yet, just float straight up through the rafters and the roof. Ignore your physical body - pay no attention to it; simply  move away from it.

Floating through physical objects is easier than walking (my experience) since floating confirms that you are non-physical, so you know that physical objects are not a barrier.

honestly i dont think imoral conduct is forbiden but your higher self might have ended your obe because by manifesting things into your rome you could accidentl welcome a bad spirit or neg  in to your house and they have been know to drain energy and cause deadly harm normally come from oiji bords because people use the board wrong and close it wrong thinking its just a game any ways
i forget his name but he obviusly ap'd into an astrol dimention of sex
and sex isent imoral unless it is against some ones will being why that one spirit grabed him by the throught for chasing a girl lol but just like theire was a diminsion of sex their is most likly its counter part of nonsex never know untill you find it

some of what i have said are beliefs and others are fact from research their are many dimentions and many uncharted
of course i still need help obing i get the vibrations ive made it half way out and then it ended just like that lol i got riped off
if any one reads this i would apreciat any techniques they have for ap

I find it easier going through the wall rather than the window.  I've never eaten glass before but I always acquire that glassy taste whilst out.  I always use the 'tssssss' method or I'll breath out as I'm passing through.  So I either say 'tsss..' whilst passing through till I get to the other side or I'll just breath out.  I used to have problems passing through things until I started doing this.  I cant say sex is anything I've thought about whilst out of body but its certainly involved with my dreams/lucid dreams.
